Exactly man! I have trouble finding room to put stuff as it is with my Crew Cab Chevy Silverado pickup. For crying out loud! What a joke! You can literally haul NOTHING with you. No need for grocery trips man, the government will deliver everything you need to eat at your doorstep. This little puppy is meant to get ya to work and hopefully back.

You probably wont even have to work either! It will be really ugly when a car of the future runs into a car of the present I for one am going to make sure my truck runs forever if the alternative is driving something that makes a post office box look big and roomy. _________________

| Why do car companies feel the need to make them look futuristic? Why can't they use new technology in car-like vehicles, instead of stupid egg-looking pieces of crap. | |

because it makes them look 'green'... I have to agree with you there man!! did you hear about the 'green' insulation in Australia that ended up burning down the house - literally. Burning Down the House Australia's stimulus program has some unexpected side effectsWhen Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd unveiled a massive 42 billion Australian dollar ($38 billion) stimulus package last year, he sold it as a far better response to recession than "to allow the free market to let rip." Now like other national leaders who sprayed out taxpayer cash, he's finding government may not be as efficient a savior as the market, after all. For weeks, Mr. Rudd's Labor government has been under fire for mishandling a A$2.45 billion roof-insulation program funded under the 2009 stimulus package. The government promised to pay up to A$1,600 per home that lacked insulation. Canberra's number crunchers estimated 2.7 million homes would benefit, and Mr. Rudd couched it as a great way to create green jobs. Australians rushed to the free-money bonanza. Over 1.1 million homes were insulated on the taxpayer dime. But it turns out that Canberra wasn't up to the task of properly supervising the rollout. Four people died installing the stuff, and faulty installations are allegedly linked to over 90 house fires. Auditors now estimate as many as 240,000 homes may need fixing, with some 1,000 at risk of having live electrical current running through their roofs. The Rudd government is now in full defensive mode and has suspended the program—but not without announcing a A$41 million cash outlay for now-unemployed installation workers. Mr. Rudd appeared on national television Thursday to give his mea culpa, removed Environment Minister Peter Garrett from overseeing the program, and installed long-time union friend and parliamentarian Greg Combet to clean up the mess. And there's more. The Auditor General launched an inquiry Friday into a A$175 green loans program that promised to provide free energy assessments and interest-free loans, but is struggling to keep up with demand. Then there's the solar-panel rebate program that ended up A$850 million over budget. None of this is a great surprise. Australia's green stimulus, like its American cousin, was always more about promoting liberal visions of wealth redistribution than actually spurring sustainable growth. Australians are now paying for Mr. Rudd's mistakes. _________________

I have to agree with you there man!! Too true. Look at how far "hybrids" have come. You used to be able to spot a hybrid vehicle simply by how weird it looked. Now, with most companies, you really can't tell the difference (except for the Prius; that thing is an eyesore). _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I couldnt tell the honda civic hybrid apart from the real thing and I believe this year Chevy is coming out with a Silverado hybrid truck. _________________

Which only lends credence to what people have been saying all along. THe only reason car companies made hybrids look so hideous was because they're in league with the oil companies and didn't really want to manufacture a hybrid the public would actually buy. That's one conspiricy theory I actually believe. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| That is one explanation but i think that until gas got to the point where it was a few years back that mainstream people started demanding higher fuel economy and the car companies took notice that gas guzzlers were not selling. Thats the bottom line - if you complain about gas guzzlers and continue to buy them the car companies wont change. Ford is a great example - once known for the behemoths on the road, they have re-tooled to what their customers want and buy. _________________ | |

A dog would ruin your sh*t, say goodbye to hitting a deer going 70. heck - a pebble jumping up off the road would leave DOA... or maybe a leaf.... the rain would practically beat the living daylights out of those vehicles... _________________
