Scott, you are missing the bands Ultra, Black Oak Arkansas and Hydra from your Southern Rockers collection and Movin' from Point Blank. Anything from the first Montrose would be nice.

Catcus was made up of Carmine Appice and Tim Bogart (both formely Jeff Beck and Vanilla Fudge) and later adding former Amboy Dukes vocalist Rusty Day, good old fashioned hard rock sort of like Humble Pie and Grand Funk.

Very, good. Cactus were referred to as "The American Led Zeppelin", Album wise I like Restrictions the best but Bad Stuff off of 'Ot 'n' Sweaty is a killer track.

I really want to get into more 70s stuff. I'm sorta new to it though. I was a kid in the 80s and a teen in the 90s.
So this stuff was just a tad bit before my time. But all of the 70s stuff I am into I really love.

That's right, although I was shooting more for FM with that list. My goal is a 70's FM album rock station for some other planet. I figure if they are within 50 light years they should be able to tune it in soon, if they have the technology.
Disc two N thru Z
New Cactus Band- Hold On To My Love (or) Nitzinger-My Last Goodbye Outlaws- You Are The Show Point Blank- Wandering Quatermass- Black Sheep of The Family (original version) Ram Jam- 404 Stray- One Night In Texas Tucky Buzzard- Wine & Women Ultra- Season's Pass Vardis- Where There's Mods There's Rockers Wishbone Ash- Lifeline X- (I can't think of any!) Yesterday & Today- Pleasure In My Heart ZZ Top- Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers
if anybody can think of a Hard/Blues/or Southern Rock type song from the classic era by a band that begins with the letter X, let me know!

Something by XTC, maybe? More like new wave, but it's still classic rock.

It's an oddball song. It's got that light to heavy DeYoung/Young (Styx) dynamic that I like. I think maybe that the people on the planet I'm envisioning might like the Nitzinger track better actually.
