| Hey, I was just wondering this on my drive home yesterday... who would you consider to be an excellent musician, one you respect as a musician and maybe even admire, in a band that you consider horrible... ... I was going to originally call this thread, "A diamond amongst turds" | |

| Wolfgang Van Halen in VH. I would say... Vivian Campbell. He is way more talented than what Def Leppard utilizes. Just listen to the early DIO albums. | |

| Af for me, I don't have anyone particularly in mind, but I would say most guitarists in Death or Black Metal bands. I admire their technical skills, and think they are phenomenal musicians... but I just can't stand Death Metal or Black Metal. | |

| After seeing Robert Trijullo (sp?) perform live years ago with Suicidal Tendencies (or maybe it was Infectious Grooves?), I thought his type of funky slap bass playing was an odd choice for Metallica. Still do actually. Not that I think he's the "best musician in a horrible band" per say, just an odd choice in my opinion. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Yes it would sound silly but there is always room to stretch out a little with some soloing. I do like Def Leppard up to Hysteria but find the later albums mediocre and tired IMO. | |

I get those 2 confused. I know one I saw one of them live as an opening band. While I don't recall much of the performance, I do remember Robert's funky bass solo and being fairly impressed. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
