- 1. Van Halen's debut is the most influential metal album after Black Sabbath.
I partially agree - Quote :
- 2. Jazz Musicians are the most talented musicians.
I agree Wes Montgomery is highly talented but depends which jazz you are referring to - Quote :
- 3. James Hetfield is a better guitarist than Kirk Hammett.
100% agree with you he writes better solos too - Quote :
- 4. Slipknot is one of the most innovative bands to come out in the last 20 years.
Only like their recent album and 2 or 3 songs off vol4 the rest is crap - Quote :
- 5. St. Anger is better than Load and ReLoad.
it would if it had a better production, guitar solos and the guitars and basses tuned up a few semitones and included some other left out trax they recorded back then - Quote :
- 6. Rainbow's Rising is better than every Deep Purple album not called In Rock or Machine Head.
100% agree with you and only like 2 songs off Deep Purple highway Star and Smoke on the Water the rest aint my cup of tea I saw them back in 04 and they bored the crap outta me and everyone in the audience was asking them to do smoke on the water - Quote :
- 7. Harpo is funnier than Groucho.
don't know who they are - Quote :
- 8. Shear Heart Attack is better than A Night At The Opera.
Haven't listened to those albums yet - Quote :
- 9. Slipknot is not Nu Metal.
they are partially like they do tune their guitars down like 6 semitones like Limp Bizkit does. But you hear alot of death metal in them as well Mick thompson said in an interview he is highly influenced by the Florida death Metal scene and their latest album sound like they are doing Killswitch Engage covers - Quote :
- 10. Black Sabbath Vol. 4 is Black Sabbath's best album.
[/quote] Agree the ozzy albums up to Sabotage are all on the same level

Disagree 3. Yes and No. He's definately a better rhythm player. 4. 5. They're all crap. 6. Forgot Fireball? 7. Don't care 8. True 9. The first album has a BIG nu-metal influence. 10. Disagree. VH's debut was highly influential and had it;s share of spin off "see how fast I can play" guitarist. I don;t know if it is the most influential after BS, but highly influential
2. Jazz Musicians are the most talented musicians.
Don't agree - there are extremely talented musicians in all types of music
3. James Hetfield is a better guitarist than Kirk Hammett.
Not on solos
4. Slipknot is one of the most innovative bands to come out in the last 20 years.
LOL!!!!!! That is too funny!!!!
5. St. Anger is better than Load and ReLoad.
Nah - St Anger has a few good songs, they were trying to capture the attitude but forgot to write good songs
6. Rainbow's Rising is better than every Deep Purple album not called In Rock or Machine Head.
Manny can handle that one!
7. Harpo is funnier than Groucho.
Haven't watched enough Marx Brothers movies to have an opinion
8. Shear Heart Attack is better than A Night At The Opera.
Both good albums!!! Classic Queen!!!
10. Black Sabbath Vol. 4 is Black Sabbath's best album. Ummmm - best? That is a matter of opinion. It is a great album, I don;t know if it is the best

Determining talent by genre is dumb. 3. Agree 4. Disagree 5. Disagree 6. Disagree 7. Agree 8. Disagree 9. Agree 10. Disagree (that's my least favorite of the bunch)

| 11. Randy Rhoads, while good, is overrated. 12. Iron Maiden is the biggest band in the world. 13. ToB is a wanker. 14. "Blitz" is the main reason why Overkill never made it big. 15. Ronnie James Dio's best work is with Rainbow. | |

Actually, I agree with this. 12. One of them for sure! 13. Duh 14. Nope. Rather Blitz is the reason for their success. 15. Nope. His work in Dio and Black Sabbath supercedes it.

| I don't agree with #11, I think it is incredible that Randy Rhoads made such impact in a career that barely lasted two years, alot of his live bootlegs show a performer who had not even reached his peak. Incredible musician. | |

| Slipknot isn't nu metal, it's crap metal. You may be right about Blitz, partly because I think he's hard to work with but that hasn't stopped Megadeth so a lot of it is luck. |

That honor would be given to Rush's "Caress of Steel"! 2. They are very talented, but hardly THE MOST. 3. No, I think Kirk is better than James. Both are good though. 4. This is a total joke!!! Slipknot is a band riding on the bandwagon of the Hot Topic crowd. But I would say that Disturbed is quite innovative. Far moreso than Slipknot ever was. 5. St. Anger is NOT. I repeat NOT better than "Load" or "Reload". Those albums both have melody. St. Anger isn't much better than the trash I put in my dumpster. 6. Naw 7. Naw 8. Not even close my friend. 9. Yes, they are Nu Metal. 10. No - Black Sabbath's best album is called "Heaven and Hell".
