Pretty cool stuff so far. Interesting melodic metal and not flowery. A bit of a folk influence in the melodies maybe? Doesn't sound to be following in the footsteps of anyone I can think of, which is a good thing.
I expect more good things in the future from this band.

I have a review of their demo on my site. I heard a lot of 70's influences in the music. I know OCI disagrees with me, but I think it has a progressive rock vibe.

I have their previous CD, and while it has a loose feel, I like a lot of the musical ideas they explore. I just ordered the new one.

Hey, thank you for the thread and the cool words. Glad that you were able to receive the CD quickly.
I didn't disagree with Scott about little things bringing to mind progressive rock, though.. just that he straight up said it was progressive rock and it sent my mind into a whirlwind of what did we do that made us sound more like Yes..my whole marketing angle may be destroyed..et al. I am always happy to see what people think, as I'm too close to the music to tell someone anything but the basics. But the basics for me has always been writing heavy metal however it is I write it..which according to others is typically in the traditional/power metal vein..maybe a bit German sounding (not a bad thing)..but with the freedom to do what I want in the songs too if I feel it will fit and at the same time not kind of define what the song is....electronic parts in 'Symphony in Black' for example...
ack's CD is going out today.....all the orders are appreciated, it took some time and money to put it together the way it is and we were very poor, so.. In March we will be recording another song or two, demo form as on this CD..but these will be digital only, not pressed. One will be fast and destructive, like 'Symphony..' and the other will be something recorded much earlier that I want to revisit. After that we hope to prepare for a larger project.

I was 10 and came up with it while visiting in the Keys, and later figured it sounded 'open' enough to where I could get away with *not* writing solely about dragons, politicians, or distaste for 'organized religion', and if I wanted to include a ballad I came up with, then by God I could do that too. I drew the logo about at 13, then took a picture of it and colored it using some program, which affected the imperfections in the white paper it was on and made the texture all cool (see sig). I just recently found where I kept my original, so in the future I can have a non-texturized logo if I want.

It's a pretty cool name I think.
Is there any truth to the rumor (that I just started) that you just signed a 25 million dollar, 10 year record deal with Century Media?

They should change the name to PocketLiner... because of all the money from that 10 year contract.

Whoever made that band logo should think twice before using eyeliner. It could course some serious eye damage

If they ever sell out and go emo, they can change the name to "Guyliner."

Usually we are whatever the club wants to call us. Sometimes they get the name right but occasionally we are also known as 'Skyline', or 'Sky Liner', or 'Skylyner', as Jacksonville does have a penchant for excessive Y's in band names.
Re: CM contract, uhhhhhhhh, I cannot confirm or deny the existence of said contract, but just because we have Travis Smith doing all our artwork from now on, and Warrel Dane guesting on the debut album, that really doesn't mean anything and I'm not even in a position to clarify if that is even true.

I thought we agreed in PM not to divulge that!
OK, now that the cat is out of the bag if anyone wants to buy a meet-and-greet with me on the tour then PayPal me $300 and I'll see what I can do.
