| From Ted Kirkpatrick's Facebook page:
We will be recording a brand new epic TOURNIQUET album this summer. We'll be working with legendary English producer NEIL KERNON. Neil has either produced, recorded, mixed, or engineered a staggering amount of cool music from classic metal (Queensryche, Dokken, Judas Priest) to death metal (Nile, Cannibal Corpse) to cl...assic bands like Kansas, to platinum selling artists like Hall and Oates. Fall 2010 release...
YESSSSSSS!!!!

| It's been so long, I've lost a lot of interest in this band. I hope it lives up to expectations. | |

| I never even listened to their last one all the way through. What I heard didn't do much for me. I'm interested in hearing samples of this new one when they are available though. | |

| I liked Where Moth.... I spoke with Luke in November at a Stryper show, at that point they were still trying to sort out how to put an album out as they don't have a label and such. This is great news | |

Same here. I love their first stuff -- but over the years, they gotten increasingly less interesting to me. Pass.

| I haven't been able to really like anything past Pathogenic. I think my interest in this band is at about the same level as my interest in Mortification: nearly nonexistent. Sad, because a long time ago I used to love both of them. | |

| Moth & Rust is about a 7/10 for me and is one of those rare albums I keep that's less than an 8/10. The strong songs are strong enough. However, I hope this new one will take advantage of new technology, resurgent Thrash love and 7 years of good ideas to kick our butts. | |

| I haven't liked anything by these guys since the Pathogenic album either. Vocals are weak and the songs just aren't that great as they used to be. | |

| I like Luke's vocals...I think he's got a good rough/clean ratio...I did like the vocal variation back in the day between Gary's "Slayer" vocal, Guy's "King Diamond" vocal, Eric's "death metal" vocal and Victor's "thrash" vocal...when Aaron and Luke sing, they sound pretty similar... |

| Tourniquet......The band that has never had a digestible singer......this band is an example of a band surviving soley on their little niche audience. If they were a mainstream band, they would have had 2 albums and would have disappeared. I respect the artist's talents, but most of their catalogue isn't listenable. |

| Woops it's called "Ode To A Roadkill"
Drummer Ted Kirkpatrick of the Christian neo-classical progressive thrash metal band TOURNIQUET has issued the following update:
"I have three exciting things to tell you about.
"I have just completed recording my first solo album called 'Ode To A Roadkill'. The title track refers to the sad reality of the millions of animals who die each year on our roadways. Seven songs, over 40 minutes of brand new music.
"I have been a fan of slow 'stoner' music for many years, and this album definitely fits that category, with my own influence to it, of course. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out and look forward to having you all hear it as it is super-, super-heavy. All 'vocals' are done utilizing majestic, creepy, haunting, unaltered animal calls. Cool album art designed by Jared Meyer — a.k.a. Lucid Hysteria.
"The album will be available as a six-panel digipak CD and an online download.
"Looking at a release date of March 10, 2010 — right around the corner.
"At the same time, I have been working on a different solo project also very soon to be released called 'In The Shadow Of The Masters'. It is a very technical drumming album featuring drums played over classical music.
"I've done a few things on past TOURNIQUET albums, but I think this is beyond anything so far just in length of the pieces.
"'In The Shadow Of The Masters' will feature music by Mozart, Chopin, Rossini, Beethoven and more. Release date: March 30, 2010.
"Finally, we will be recording a brand new epic TOURNIQUET album in July or August, 2010.
"We are excited to announce that we will be working with legendary English producer Neil Kernon. Neil has either produced, recorded, mixed, or engineered a staggering amount of cool music from classic metal (QUEENSRŸCHE, DOKKEN, JUDAS PRIEST, AUTOGRAPH) to death metal (NILE, CANNIBAL CORPSE) to progressive music (NEVERMORE, MAGMA) to hair metal (BRITNY FOX) to Christian bands like PETRA, to classic bands like KANSAS, to platinum-selling albums like HALL AND OATES' 'Private Eyes'.
"We plan to release it as soon as it's finished in fall of this year."
