Hell yeah! They're one of my favorite prog-metal bands. I hear no Queensryche in them, though. Nor much Meshugghah.

The repetitiveness of their different rhythm sets instantly makes me think of older Meshuggah... no other tech metal bands really do that, they are constantly shifting every couple of measures, rather than ride out an idea almost in a groove. So that's where that comparison comes from..and then the somber, serious feel and the dramatics of the vocal performances often bring to mind the first two Queensrÿche albums, for me... particularly on 'The Towers of Avarice' and 'A Fragile Mind'. A lot of bands have tried to generally take from the QR sound, but I barely ever hear this specific dark, intense feel that is such a big part of why the band is so utterly classic.

Cannibal Corpse ~ Eaten Back to Life (remaster with 1 bonus track)

Yes. Here's the cover to mine....

Mine looks like this but the back tray card doesn't have a bar code and it looks like someone just printed it up, or it could be an original and just self released. Mine says it was released by texas hotel.

Ok just for the heck of it I looked it up on wikipedia (because everything on there is true) and supposedly that is the record label it was released by so I guess I have the original.

Death Machine is pretty much Zero Hour with a more death metal-like singer.



Last I heard their sister would be singing (not screaming) on the followup. They've been inactive for a while now, though. And what a bizarre video. I've never seen it before. Haha.
