As is Thunder. Yeah, I really like Thunder. I have Backstreet Symphony on CD and it is one hell of a melodic hard rock album. The vocalist sounds so much like Freddy Mercury IMO it's uncanny. In the mail: Mortification-The Evil Addiction Destroying Mahcine (Erasing The Goblin should have been with it but I guess it will come later).

I do not think that dude sounds like Mercury but glad to see you like this band who recently called it a day and I agree 'Backstreet Symphony' is a classic.

| I hated Thunder at first. I remember reading a review of their debut way back when it came out that said they sounded like Def Leppard. Like 15 years went by and I never once saw one of their albums. Then, when the digital stuff became prevalent I found the debut. Totally sounds NOTHING like Def Leppard! I was pissed. Haha. | |

| Thanks to Spec Dark Angel - Darkness Descends - The Black Edition Paradox - Riot Squad
And from ebay Outrage - The Final Day
On my recent trip to LA I got myself some early Christmas presents. I'm also preparing for the massive buying scale-back of 2010 I intend to impose.
From Amoeba (it never fails to amuse me how the metal section is labeled simply "black metal". I also got the bonus comedy of a new wave employee being completely disgruntled at having to stock the section) The big find was on my second run scoring Nuclear Assault's Survive at a much lower price than the going rate. Worth every penny too. Some others... Nuclear Assault - Something Wicked Exodus - Force Of Habit remaster W.A.S.P. - Babylon Kreator - Pleasure To Kill/Flag Of Hate Solitude - From Within Metal Church - A Light In The Dark Deep Purple - In Rock Anniversary Edition Candlemass - Nightfall 2Disc Dogs D' Amour - In The Dynamite Jet Saloon (No idea how these guys weren't huge at the time. Unbelievably great record) Screaming Blue Messiahs - Bikini Red Hirax - El Rostro De La Muerte (probably my album of the year)
From CD Trader Tarzana Municipal Waste - Massive Aggressive Possesed - Beyond The Gates remaster 3 Inches Of Blood - Here Waits Thy Doom Ahteist - Unquestionable Presence: Live At Wacken Exodus - Pleasures Of The Flesh SSS - The Dividing Line Rage - Execution Guaranteed remaster Law & Order - Guilty Of Innocence Pretty Boy Floyd - Porn Stars & Tonight Belongs To The Young Paul Di'Anno - The Living Dead Black N' Blue Collected Box Set Husker Du - The Living End Live Melvins - Ozma/Gluey Porch Treatment Grateful Dead - From The Mars Hotel & In The Dark remasters and in the dump bin with some nice upgrades from beat up copies Scorpions - Savage Amusement Cult - Sonic Temple Connells - One Simple Word Overkill - From The Underground And Below Massacre - Promise Cryonic Temple - In Thy Power
From the two secondspin stores (3 for 4 sale + an LA Weekly 40% off coupon) Ravage - The End Of Tomorrow At War - Infidel Helstar - A Distant Thunder UDO - No Limits Asphalt Ballet - s/t Jetboy - Feel The Shake Tuff - Religous Fix Loudness - Loud N' Raw Axe - Offering Pink Cream 69 - Electrified Sodom - Lords Of Depravity Pt. 1 DVD (never even knew about this. Worth it for just the booklet)

I love Backstreet Symphony; I think it sounds like early Whitesnake. I haven't liked much I've heard by them other than that one however. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Uriah Heep- Wake The Sleeper Epitaph- Dancing With Ghosts How is "The Resistance"? ESPN keeps using tracks from that one behind their highlights and I really like the music but then I read reviews of that album and it sounds like something I'd absolutely hate. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
