| Got it the other day since i took ultmetal's word since his review was a positive one I am surprised though ultmetal I would of thought your review would be something like "Kiss sold out to grunge","Kiss trying to hard to be trendy" or "Kiss on this album sound like a bunch Alice in Chains tryhards". Are you sure you are not an Alice in Chains fan? Anyway songs like hate and rain and childhood ends are real platters and the album shines I actually think its better than Crazy Nights, Asylum and Lick It Upnot as good as revenge, their 70s stuff or Creatures Of The Night | |

| Carnival Of Souls is the worst Kiss album for me. I gave it many tries years ago but couldn't stand it at all. I still have it but haven't listened to it since a long time. | |

| CARNIVAL has two songs that I really like -- both Gene's. ("Hate" and "In My Head")...I can take or leave the rest. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a KISS fanatic. I state that going in, so my reviews of their CDs all come from a fanboy perspective. However, I pretty much did say like "Kiss sold out to grunge" - Quote :
- "Carnival of Souls" is a heavy and dark Kiss album. It is pretty obvious that the band was trying to follow the trends in music at the time. Grunge was the flavor of the month, so Kiss followed suite with this dark, grungy album. This is most likely the reason why Alice in Chains producer Toby Wright was brought in.

| I still need to get this one. I was listening to KISS earlier today though. "Lick It Up". That's a much better album than I previously thought it was. But I'll save that for another thread ... | |

| I liked Carnival. It was very different Kiss album almost like how Revenge was but some of the songs just didnt hold up. I like how it has a dark feel to it, and it is a little grungy but I think its a decent album. _________________ | |

| I LIKE kISS. It's just weird though that i cannot seem to get into any new songs. I was so happy when Sonic Boom came out. problem is that, after a couple of listens, i got bored and went back to older tracks such as detroit rock city, Love Gun, creatures of the night and God of Thunder. Weird. | |
