Oh man, for me, this is the greatest non-metal band on earth.
As a young man who grew up in a family with lots of old timers, this band has been a part of my life.

Chess? Wasn't that just a musical? Or was it an actual band with an album out? Sorry, I feel I should know this, but it escapes me.
It was a musical written by Andrew llyod Weber and it managed to even produce a hit single 'One Night In Bangkok' by Murray Head.
It wasn't Andrew Lloyd Webber The music was Bjorn & Benny (ABBA) the lyrics were by Tim Rice long time writing partner of ALW which may be why it has that feel but I don't know about in the U.S but here in the U.K the big, big hit single from this show was 'I know him so well' which was massive and undeniably ABBAesque.
I absolutely love ABBA one of the greatest pop bands of all time and this is one of the greatest pop songs of all time.
I've been listening to Devin Townsend - Addicted and Epicloud a lot lately and you'd have a tough time convincing me that he doesn't like ABBA.

While I'd hardly consider myself a fan, my parents listend to these guys quite a bit in the 70's and 80's, so I'm pretty well versed in their songs whether I like it or not.

I'm not a "fan" but I can completely admire the talent involved and the amazing quality of their studio recordings which are textbook examples of top-shelf production.
