| Like = yes. Love = NO
The first four are still a fine listen (and yes, I enjoy Possessed) , but sometimes I wonder how much nostalgia I've imported on them. I wonder if I heard them for the first time today, I would still believe the same.

| Hell yea! How can you not love a band that sounds like they meet their instruments on a blind date, took the goofiest concept in metal (SATAN!), have managed to have had a recording career that has lasted 29 years based around this concept, inspired an entire genre, had Metallica open on of their Eurpoen tours, had managed to record a trio of classic albums (Welcome to Hell, Black metal, and At War With Satan), yes I am a fan and the band is a great deal of fun. Great stuff. | |

| I can take'em or leave'em. I've had some of their stuff on and off over the years but at the moment the only Venom I have is the 2-CD reissue of the CARVED IN STONE disc, which was a damn good album. The bonus disc is a bunch of Venom's classics re-recorded in the late 90s by the original lineup. The old stuff sounds even more gnarly and evil with the improved sonics. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I bet your brother was /is the Venom fan in your family. Yea, he is! How'd you know? When we were growing up he always had more interest in the sick -n- evil lo-fi stuff than I did. During the mid-80s I was going through my Stryper phase when he was in the midst of his Venom phase. Made for some interesting stereo battles around my house. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I have a comp album of theirs that I'll pull out from time to time, and while I enjoy it, it's never inspired me to track down their other work. Or strip naked covered in purple Jell-o shouting their praises, as apparently one of our other board members have contemplated. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I am one lucky guy in the sense of being able to see them when they played the Milwaukee Metalfest in 1997. It was their 1st show back in the US after the original members reunited. I can still say after seeing numerous shows after that it still ranks up in the top 5 shows I have ever seen.
When I first heard them, I was so blown away. Sure they are horrible musicians, but the darkness and pure evil feeling it had made me like them that much more! haha
I listen to the old stuff now and even though it don't have the same feeling, It is kind of comical in a sense but it still rules to listen to.

| Cool to see some other fans here! I like all the albums I've picked up so far (which are only three), but they are from different eras, so I guess it's safe to say I like all their stuff. From what I have, I'd rank them as such: 1. Welcome to Hell 2. Beauty and the Beast 3. Cast in Stone All of these are good albums. | |

That album is actually called Calm Before The Storm. For some reason the label that album is on changed the name to Beauty and the Beast. |

| I love from Welcome To Hell thru Possessed, at one point they were one of my favorite bands and I played the grooves off At War With Satan. Some truly great albums but
They are THE WORST LIVE BAND OF ALL TIME.

| I think that because they weren't the most talented band was one of the things that them appealing. Like Hellhammer, Sodom, or early Voivod. | |

I just think they didnt know how to play their instruments that well at first, Abaddon was so damn bad he sounded like he was playing a different song the whole time, dude couldnt keep time in a room full of clocks, and Mantas was out of tune a hell of alot too. GREAT studio albums, and I love all that, but live, no thanks.

| Love 'em to hell! First three LPs are classic, nasty, dirty black heavy metal records. Apart from those three I only know the last two albums, and those were pretty awful. LAY DOWN YOUR SOULS TO THE GODS ROCK 'N' ROLL!!!!! | |

| They were fun at first Still have the first two or three on vinyl Havn't listened in years and proboably won't, that kinda mood rarely comes anymore. I will admit they made a big impact and influnced the music scene with that style of playing. _________________ | |

| I have their ASSAULTS on vinyl and most of their singles and records and i can tell you that they are one of my all time fave bands. CALM BEFORE THE STORM is underated, i realy like that one. But my fave are of course their first albums. Now they are going to rerelease with dvd their BLACK METAL album again *or their WELCOME TO HELL i am not sure* with their legendary concert at HAMMERSMITH odeon in 1984. I didnt like METAL BLACK and i still didnt buy their last album because i was just to disapointed with METAL BLACK but i love all their other albums and solo album by MANTAS and solo albums by CRONOS. | |

| I have never bothered with the solo albums by any of the three original members, I have even heard that Abaddon's solo album is dance music? If that is true then I need no further proof in the existence of Satan. | |

| Well you have to get the new album "Hell"! Seriously, the album is awesome. Its like classic Venom again. I hated Metal Black too. The songs weren't that good and it sounded like they were just going through the motions. | |

I have the Mantas solo and all the Cronos solo albums. Yes, Abbadon's solo album is just mechanical drum crap. |
