Anyone who reads NoLifeTilMetal.com knows that I am a huge Ted Nugent fan. Any other fans here?

I had 'Nugent ' on vinyl. it's the only one of those I've heard.
Weekend Warriors is my all time favorite with Gonzo close behind.

I like all four, I voted for "Lick 'Em" as it has great songs like Spread Your Wings, Funlover, Skintight, Can't Live With 'Em, etc. All great songs on par with the classics. Even the title track is great.
Other favorite songs from that era are "Painkiller", "Little Miss Dangerous", "No, No, No", "Tailgunner" and "Bound and Gagged" ( song that seems appropriate in these times.)
1. Lick Em 2. Nugent 3. Little Miss Dangerous and a very distant 4. Penetrator

Voted for Little Miss Dangerous, because it is the only one which I own and know from the choice.

Lick Em by far. Penetrator is just terrible. The others are okay.
I am surprised how many of you like ATLANTIC TED NUGENT days because i know others that hate them and die for 70s NUGENT. Anyway, i love those days too (same with SAVATAGE or RAVEN ATLANTIC days) but my fave must be PENETRATOR.
I like ALL Ted Nugent, but Penetrator ranks at the bottom of my list. It's too 80's, keyboardy, poppy. When the keyboards are more up front than the guitars, it's not Ted Nugent.

The only release I have of his is Penetrator. I'm not really a fan but his stuff is decent and both times I saw him in conceert (with KISS) he kicked arse

I'm a Ted Nugent fan to a certain extent. I have never seen this concert opener before !! Quite cool. They should of had a hot babe (Tarzan/Jane) in the passenger seat. New Years Eve show. Like an AC DC concert opening. Very fun.

I love Penetrator! I understand the criticism it gets, but the presence of keyboards can not outweigh the rip your head off intro of Tied Up In Love or the best solo Ted ever did, also in that song. Nugent blasphemy, I know, but it's incredible. His playing throughout that record is great, and Brian Howe's vocal performance is fantastic. All four of these records are inconsistent with some phoned in songwriting mixed into each one. The production on the Nugent record is so sparse, the whole thing sounds lifeless. That's my least favorite of the bunch. The fake drums all over Little Miss Dangerous bother me more than the keys on Penetrator, but the title track and Painkiller are classics. Spread Your Wings from Lick 'Em is also a lost gem.

Never got into this band properly. I only own Sweden Rocks on cd, which i picked up as it was on sale.
I still see Spirit of the Wild sitting on the shelves in my local record shop. Been there for years.

Should i consider picking it up?
I really like the Derek St.Holmes lead vocal tracks. He has writing credits on 7 songs. Denny Carmassi is on drums one of my favorites.
I don't know if this the best track on the cd, But it gives you an idea of what is ahead.

Not my style, to be honest. But i agree that the musicianship is good.

The first three Nugent albums are the best. Ted Nugent, Free For all and Cat Scratch Fever. The live album Double Live Gonzo! is great too. You may want to start with the best of called Great Gonzos! It's a good overview of the classic Nugent albums and a great place to start - it's where I started back in the 80s.
