The only good albums on the list, and even these aren't worthy of the title.

| I own a couple of those albums. I have a feeling Megadeth's new album will be number one on a new list (if the hype is true). | |

| Kerrang was never a metal magazine. it is a trend magazine, that follows what is commercially successful within the rock scene at whatever time the particular issue is being published. they only focused on thrash/glam/black/etc, at certain points because it was commercially popular at the time. _________________ | |

| MC's right, Kerrang were never a Metal Magazine. Even in the Metal years they had Meatloaf, Fish (Marillion), Hanoi Rocks, Dogs D'Amour etc on the cover. They just covered whatever was popular in the pervailing rock scene.
I like their list from 2005 regarding the Greatest British Rock albums ever better, not because of it being 90% obvious but because i like it that the Manics and Wildhearts are in amongst your Pistols, Zeppelin's and Queen's as they should be........
1. Black Sabbath – Black Sabbath - 1970 2. Iron Maiden – Number Of The Beast – 1982 3. Sex Pistols – Never Mind The Bollocks… - 1977 4. Led Zeppelin – IV – 1971 5. Black Sabbath – Paranoid – 1970 6. Muse – Absolution – 2003 7. The Clash – London Calling – 1979 8. Queen – Sheer Heart Attack – 1974 9. Iron Maiden – 1980 10. Manic Street Preachers – The Holy Bible – 1994 11. Led Zeppelin – Physical Graffiti – 1975 12. Judas Priest – British Steel – 1980 13. Def Leppard – Hysteria – 1987 14. Black Sabbath – Vol IV – 1972 15. The Darkness – Permission To Land – 2003 16. Ozzy Osbourne – Blizzard Of Oz – 1980 17. The Wildhearts – Earth Vs The Wildhearts – 1993 18. Lostprophets – Start Something – 2004 19. Queen – A Night At The Opera – 1975 20. Muse – Origin Of Symmetry – 2001

All very good albums, IMO. I also think these are all solid releases, even the Slipknot CD and they are far from my favorite band, I also happen to be a fan of Weezer.
