I would call Barry Manilow a guilty pleasure, but then I would actually need to feel guilty, which I don't. I didn't grow up (70's) on heavy music, so there was that balance between the likes of the Doobie Brothers/Chicago/Steely Dan & the likes of James Taylor/Olivia Newton John/Barry Manilow.
I've always enjoyed the piano, hence I always enjoyed the likes of Barry, along with Elton and Billy Joel. My parents bought "This One's For You" when it first came out, so I more or less grew up with him.
