I've been spinning this the past few days for the first time in years, and i've come to one conclusion.

This is their best record since they reunited.

Haven't heard this one in years. Need to give it a fresh spin.

I did not like this nor "Reborn" for quite some time, they both grew on me eventually to where I now consider them both solid. Though I think "No More Hell to Pay" is their best of the second era.

I agree, and for me its the last album they did that I liked from start to finish

Addy, I like all their stuff, but I think their last 3 are too much like each other.

Reborn stunk. Murder By Pride was a definite improvement but the "best" since their reunion, nah. I think that'd be No More Hell To Pay.

Reborn-

Reborn was the first Stryper album that i picked up in the early 2000's. This was the only available Stryper album in my local record shop, so i had no other choice. I found nothing to enjoy about it. Gave it repeated spins but my judgment remained the same.

Nah. I used to revisit it every year or so to see if it'd click, and it never did, so eventually I ditched it.

When Reborn came out I was disappointed in the sound but just glad the guys got back together to make music again. It has definitely grown on me. Murder by Pride dropped and I was thinking ok now this is more like it. It's a solid album but still missing that little something.The Covering is awesome I think they do the bands justice there. No More Hell to Pay would be my favorite of the new era.

I agree with Rich, the last couple are too samey. I know it's not gonna happen but I'm still waiting for Soldiers part 2. And by that I mean I want Heavy and melodic,twin harmony leads, high pitched screams and no trace of modern sound at all.

Here's my favorite song on Reborn. At the 1:50 mark they hit the classic Stryper greatness with the gang vocals.

Same, and I think it's a top 10 Stryper song for me.

I don't think they can do Soldiers II, not the music they write anymore.

Not the music anyone writes anymore, going back never works.

Just get off the song writing pattern he's on. I don't need Soldiers 2, just a change of pace.
