Pretty much anything labeled as Funeral-Doom seems to be super-depressing. If you like that kind of stuff I guess I might recommend this band.

I think Sunn 0))) is pretty depressing stuff.

Try Italian Doom Metalers Doomenicus or their side project Remember November. Great stuff. You might also want to reach back into the 80's for Tyrant.

Lastly a friend Napalm Dave has a new band similar in style to Sunno or Earth called Within the torn Apart that is really good and promising.

The "death/doom" and so called "funeral doom" stuff is not for me, I'd rather have real doom metal. In terms of old fashioned doom, it doesn't get any more sad than Warning, who were one of the best UK doom metal acts from the nineties, along with epic doom legends Solstice.

To me, MY DYING BRIDE is very depressing.

My fave is Sevenchurch-Bleak Insight from about 1993. It's kind of a cross between Epicus era Candlemass and Closer era Joy Division or something.

Antestor's songs 'Sorg' (Sorrow) and 'Depressed' (what fitting names, eh?) are the most somber, sad songs I've heard from a metal band. They are not a doom band, but a black metal band; although their first couple of demos were doom/death. Those two songs, though, are very slow and very sorrowful, if you will....
