Got a new laptop

Well I finally bought myself a new laptop, it's an HP Pavilion dv2000 250 gig 4 gig RAM with windows Vista. It was at $700 got it for $450 new. Wasn't sure how I would like Vista but once you get used to it's interface it's actually not bad. Some features I don't like like moving files around are not as easy as XP Home but it is still not bad.

Just makes it easy for me to use and I can not use the PC as much and plus it's mobile!

I did too. An HP NC6000. I also got my first Ipod. I spent the last week adding music files to these. An old fella runs into lots of bugs, but it's going OK and I'm pretty much having fun so far. Now I can listen to music at work (the system here wouldn't allow it). instead of typing stupid stuff on HOM all the time!

And it went obsolete as soon as you left the store.

Unless you're a big gamer, most computers are plenty fast enough these days.

My home computer is about 3 years old now, but I have yet to be hampered by that fact. Since I'm able to upgrade and maintain it myself, it should last me for awhile, even if something decides to die I can perform the repair myself.

It's going to be time soon for me to upgrade my old stuff and get a laptop. Also, I need to get a little more technologically advanced. My buddies keep telling me this. I find I am actually going backwards as I would like to start a nice record collection when my cd want list is complete. LOL. Congrats on your purchase, Wargod48.

I could care less if my stuff is obsolete or not. My computer is almost 3 years old and I'm perfectly happy with it. My dad gave me his old laptop and once I get a new hard drive for it I will be happy with it too. I don't need any new technology right now (nor can I afford them), I'll just be happy with what I have.

That's my motto as well. When I can afford it I'll be investing in older technology (I really want a tube amp for my home stereo).

got a five year old computer, little tune ups ever now and then keep her up to speed.
