| Any fans of these noise merchants, I like thier early albums such as " Daydream Nation" where it sounds like they met their instruments on a blind date and deceided to make an album. Only comparison I can come up with is Lou Reed's "Metal Music Machine" , this is what that album would have sounded like if Lou Reed had actually sculputured that noise and feedback to something that would resemble music.

| I love Sonic Youth!. yeah that lo-fi sound on "Daydream nation" is killer, I can't get enough of that stuff.

| Wow, someone keeps digging up my old threads, Sonic Youth is really
cool, Deathcult if you still own GOO give it another spin, it may grow
on you.
These guys at times were noise merchants but that is part of their charm, personally when I am in right mood I love it. | |
