Cold

For the first time that I ever remember every single county in Texas is under a winter storm warning.. -25 windchill in my part of Texas.. rolling blackouts in austin/ houston/ dallas.. unheard of cold.. how is it in your location?

its 30 here in Elkton Maryland

32 here outside of Pittsburgh, overcast (as usual) with a storm blowing in overnight.

Finally above 0 today, been below 0 for more than a week. The low was -39 last Thursday. Thank goodness, there wasn't any wind till yesterday and it was 20 mph constant all day with gusts up to 35 mph That made the wind chill from -30 to -40.
Glad it's over for now, got a lot of snow drift to move today.

nice to know. I have been starting to think about where to move to and your neck of the woods is under consideration

It's in the upper 30s here in NC. You guys stay safe and warm!

We haven't even gotten to freezing for 13 straight days. Been highs in the single digits for the last several days and now today we're getting about 8 inches of snow.

When was the last time you rode your motorcycle?

It’s just 55 degrees here.

Sometimes it will go down to a little above 40 after midnight or in the early morning.

Even Phoenix AZ is 55, and Death Valley is 61.

Didn't ride much this year cause we were working in Wyoming and the Dakotas quite a bit and I wasn't home much

I bet you missed it. You have a Harley right?

Actually not that cold in Finland. Merely -17 centigrade where I live. It's still good for skating and skiing. A little colder and it gets uncomfortable.

Gotten used to not riding as much as I did in California since moving to Montana over 10 years ago.

I have a Harley Crossbones and am rebuilding an old knucklehead.

Ride dirt bikes, quads, and snowmobiles as well. Adjust to the environment, so to speak.

We went down to -4 this morning but the sun was bright all day and warmed us all the way up to 16. Seriously, it felt like the tropics. So I went out early this morning and shoveled my driveway. Even though this was a light fluffy snow because it was so cold, there was a LOT of it (at least compared to what STL has gotten in recent years; I grew up in PA so this would have been nothing during my childhood). I can already tell my lower back is going to bark at me tomorrow when I wake up but the shoveling was a good workout.

Phoenix was in the 60's yesterday, got down lower at night into the 40's I believe. Sunny and warm today in the low 70's.

I just got off the phone with my sister in-law, and they lost power in the town she's in, over in Texas. Crazy cold for them this year, hope they get power back soon.

Ah, yeah it probably was that time of night. It was colder yesterday than it has been for the last week or so. During the day it was in the mid 60's, probably low of about 45 or so. Next week we are supposed to get up to the low 80's for a high. Brrrrrrrrrrrr lol

I hate winter. Though as a metalhead I should love lonely walks in a forest during winternight and enjoy frosty days.

I don't.

we went camping this weekend. It was 30 outside here in Maryland but it felt like 15 with the windchill.
