I went with Metal Church but Vicious Rumors is right there too. I went with Metal Church just because I was with them from the get go. I hadn't discovered Vicious Rumors til after Carl Albert's death,but was totally blown away by what I had heard.

My immediate choice would be Metal Church because I'm such a big fan of Blessing In Disguise and Human Factor. I haven't really listened to Vicious Rumor, so I'm going to check them out before voting.

All the VR albums are good to varying degrees but Digital Dictator and the s/t are classics IMO. In my book they come very close to MC, but MC has a greater, thrashy edge, and I just feel like most of their albums are stronger than the bulk of VR's work.

Savatage is a great band that I would have voted for if not for MC's inclusion. Still, I find MC's songwriting even more memorable than Savatage and would take Wayne or Howe any day over Oliva. They're just that awesome to me (albeit Savatage obviously had a much stronger lead guitarist).

I'm not sure of Iced Earth being on the list. They're a bit removed from these old guard players. I love 'em, but it's a different era, different sound, different class.
