It has just been announced that TSO and SAVATAGE are playing Wacken next year. So a Savatage reunion is finally a go after all these years. Not sure how much more will become of it though.

Is Jon Oliva going to sing here? I saw him with his own band a couple of times during last 10 years and he performed several old Savatage tracks, but he's just not able to sing 'em any more.

Since TSO is aldo performing my guess is that the members who usually tour with them will be the Savatage line-up.

Who's in TSO these days? I think it's reasonable to assume that any Savatage reunion would include Oliva, Caffery and Middleton, so they'd have to pull in a drummer, another guitarist and possibly an additional vocalist.

I'm sure Jeff Plate will drum...he's been the TSO drummer every time I've seen them. I bet they do only Oliva era material and will have only Jon on vocals...hour long "hits" set, tops.

Don't get me wrong. I've always liked Savatage within varying degrees. They just seem to be so much greater here than anywhere else. They're not that awesome.
