What is your Least favorite album by your Favorite band????

I think infact R.I.B. is an "enssential" Slayer album, but calling this one "thu best ffffrash ulbum everrrrr"
is playinly stupid. Seasons in The Abyss is far superior ... So is Hell Awaits.

Short fast songs were just what was happening at the time. It's a blast of speed and raw aggression just like a lot of thrash in 1986. They did need to vary tempos and such on the next record (and they did) but I think that it sums up that year perfectly. I discovered Napalm Death in '86 so the songs didn't seem that short   

Well i'm not really a fan of Napalm Death, so that's probably why Reign in Blood didn't blow me away.

I find that shocking as well. That is such a great album. To like it less than Cold Lake & Vanity/Nemisis (although both still decent albums) seems strange.

What's so great about it?

The songs, the atmosphere, the undiluted heaviness, it's just a brilliant record. Listen to it, if you still don't understand then no explanation will help.

Really? This is one that always confounds me when I read it. Well, let me clarify that point. It is surprising when it comes from someone who's actually well versed and isn't just pissed off that Coroner weren't playing straight thrash anymore by the time this album came out. Personally, I believe it to be another masterpiece in a long string of excellent albums from them as well as the next logical step from Mental Vortex. They kept evolving on this one, and it's truly monstrous.
