It's actually the most awkward area of any wedding, depending on who you are. I hated it--I love my MIL and couldn't ask for better, but we both couldn't wait for it to be over with. My wife and my dad thought the same thing. Consider yourself lucky lol.

I was just talking to my mom about it and she doesn't like to dance in front of people let a lone dance at all haha. I probably could have just done without it really she wouldn't have cared. Thanks for everyones suggestions serious or not, although would it kill some of you to be serious for once? Jeeez

I tried to get out of it as neither me or my mother dance, my wife on the other hand does and comes from a family that loves to dance soooo........... I was very nervous about the first dance and all that more than anything with the wedding
