I only have Holy Mountain and I love it. Checked out a few of their songs post Mountain and didnt really care for them at the time. Kinda sounded like they blew their load on that first album.

Holy Mountain was actually the third album. The first album is available via iTunes (the second one I'm not sure of). There was only 1 album after Holy Mountain but it was released in two different versions.

First off, it's actually just one 62 minute song (which is why the record label rejected it). After quite a few years of struggling it was edited down and split into separate tracks as Jerusalem (this was not done by the band, but by the label)...finally it was restored to it's original form and released under the title "Dopesmoker" which is how the band originally intended it.

If you can take 62 minutes of amazingly slow stoner doom with lyrics about the "Weedian People"...then I recommend it.

By the way, the bass player and drummer from Sleep are now known as OM and they have been releasing albums on their own. No guitarist, just bass (sometimes mulit-tracked), drums and vocals.

Acclaimed San Jose, California stoner doom metal band SLEEP will have its classic Earache debut album, "Holy Mountain", reissued on June 16. The special edition will feature the BLACK SABBATH cover "Snowblind" as a bonus track along with a video for the song "Dragonaut" video. Rare photos will also be included in the package.

The rhythm section from Sleep also just recorded an album with Wino recently...hoping that sees the light of day soon!

It's an opportunity to have catharsis and put those songs in the sky where they belong... to move forward and let it purge."
