I asked this in another forum, but I am curious what response I will get here. It's been a long time since I have been totally blown away by an album. I am curious what you all might recommend. Any genre is welcome. I like it all.
I am not big on modern rock but someone recommended Alter Bridge's ABIII today and while it didn't blow me away, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was a pretty solid album with some nice guitar work.

I'm currently digging Anvil's JUGGERNAUT OF JUSTICE, new release-wise.
If you're looking for long-lost old stuff, I'm gonna recommend Warrior Soul's SALUTATIONS FROM THE GHETTO NATION (1992), not just because I'm a fanboy, but simply because that album frickin rules and hardly anyone has heard it.

Edit.....Thanks everyone.....Old releases are fine. They will probably be fresh with me. Any genre. I like it all. I am just looking for the ultimate audio experience that has been very long ago. For instance when I listened to Yes--Close to the Edge when it was first released.That album blew me away. Now my tastes have changed to Metal most of the time.
The last album that I remember that blew me away....was a one time listen of Nightwish--Dark Passion Play. Other times it was only a so so album.

Yeah its milla jovovichs album that she wrote when she was like 16 before her family immigrated to the US and she started her film/modeling/activism career. Its ultra cool, not like any kind of celebrity pop music you have ever heard.

If you dont have this or never heard Forbidden's Twisted Into Form,you owe it to yourself to get it.One of the best Thrash albums ever.Great from start to finish.Heres a song from that album
