Early album of the year contender.

Been a slow year for me so far but Jag Panzer's, Scourge of the Light, is so strong it's going to be tough to unseat. The first thing you notice is that Harry's voice is as strong as ever, man he has power. I'm almost afraid of how much I like this immeadiately, sometimes those don't have staying power but for now, it destroys.

Crowbar - Sever the Wicked Hand, is a front runner for me. Omnium Gatherum - New World Shadows, will probably be a front runner too.

Deicide's new one is audio gold.

I have a feeling it will be PORTRAIT for me. Also the new MIDNIGHT PRIEST is pretty good, HEATHENDOM seems like a contender, and I'm yet to check the new DARKEST ERA

And with new WILD and STEEL HORSE albums imminent, it would be a tough choice.

I agree that the new Deicide is good! Wasn't expecting that from them. So far though, my pick goes to Belphegor - Blood Magick Necromance.

Yesterday STEEL HORSE played two new songs (they stopped the recording of their second album to play this live show) and they sounded great.
I think the new CAULDRON is very very good.

So far i'm going with Crowbar's Sever the Wicked Hand album.

So far, for me, the new Evergrey is topping the list. But I am far behind on my 2011 releases buying.

vreid - v is the best metal album ive heard this year, though its not my favorite of theirs. it will probably make it into my top 10 metal albums of 2011.

Some I haven't listened to enough, but of those I dig the Times of Grace and Ghost albums the most. For metal, anyway. Out of all of them, I probably dig the Charlotte Martin album most.

Maybe in Europe, but the US release date for that Ghost album is 2011.

I just purchased my first 2011 release over the weekend, Social Distortion's Hard Times... and so far, it's not exactly knocking my socks off. Need more spins though.

The only two 2011 releases I've bought so far is Cauldron and Stryper's -The Covering.Its still too early to tell but the Cauldron is pretty good.

The new album and last album are good, but Mike Ness isn't angry anymore, you know. The albums are "nice," if that makes sense. He's better a little more pissed off. Haha.
