Sabaton - Coat Of Arms

I saw some people getting this CD and I received mine today so I guessed that a topic would be fine.

What do you think about this album and Sabaton in general? Me personally I love their style. Bombastic, epic, powerful and still gritty at times. Joakim's voice is not the typical high-scream power metal vocal. His deep voice is actually one of the best points of Sabaton. I also love how they have that penchant for big, sweeping catchy and powerful choruses. And diversity is their forte also - they have those speed metal killers ("Coat Of Arms" or "Screaming Eagles" from the newest one) and the mid-paced epics ("Uprising"). And the fact that they sing about the heroism of the people of my country and devoted two whole tracks to this is no slouch either.

In other words - love me some Sabaton!

I agree 100%. And while I typically don't pay much attention to lyrics, I usually do with Sabaton because it's often like getting a lesson in war history.

I love their lyrics (actually interesting) I love his vocals and I love their overall marching/battle Powermetal sound. Very epic.

I was listening to Coat of Arms the other day and thought to myself "These guys haven't written one crappy song."

I love me some Sabaton with Attero Dominatus being my favorite. Haven't heard the new one yet but it's on the list.

I dont have the new one yet but I really like this band. One of the best pm bands out there right now.

This CD should really kick ass like their last one did!

Yep. No bad tracks on the album. None. Amazing stuff.

I've been listening to my copy the past couple of days.

My first impression is that it's not quite as good as The Art Of War but it's still their second best release.

I thought the same but the more I listened to it the more I was astounded as to as good it really is.

How is that possible when Primo Victoria and Attero Dominatus both are much better than The Art Of War...

Until this new one, I liked each successive album better than the one before it.
