X Ray Spex will always have a soft spot in my heart.

My sophomore year in college, I bought a comp on vinyl that had that song on it. My roommate at the time happened to work in the Admin building. Every night at midnight, they played a tape of a gong banging out 12 gongs.

One night (after mass consumption of alcohol), we got this idea of replacing the usual taped gongs with something more interesting...like that X Ray Spex song.

To mske a long story short, we pulled it off and woke up half the campus in the process. "Blind me, bind me, chain me to a wall. Oh Bondage...up yours!!!". I'll always have a place in my heart for that band even though I know they sound like crap.

BTW, this was a Mennonite college so that makes it even worse/funnier.

Hahaha...awesome story toho. I dont think they sound bad though, maybe my ears have been corrupted too much by unsavory punk music. One thing I absolutely love about X ray spex is the saxs.
