Got a chance to listen to the samples and they sound good. There's a lot of promise in there so I am hoping for the best. They have never had a bad album, so I am sure this will kick just as much ass as the stuff prior.
If you can have Thin Lizzy without Phil, you can have an Accept without Udo... I hope it rocks.

Shannon & Glenn have the right attitudes...at least be open to it. The samples don't sound nearly as bad as everyone is saying...they're just different than what you're used to...like Arnel singing the Journey classics on the 2nd disc of Revelation...they don't "suck", they're just different from the versions of those songs that we have in our heads for 20 years...

I will like them better with this other guy singing. Almost anyone(except Lemmy) would be an improvement over Udo's sandpaper/chalkboard vocals.

I am so exited. It doesn't matter if UDO is not with them right now. What matter is that there is a big change to see them and probably some official merchandise.

Not liking this too much - I have "Balls to the Wall" on vinyl and have for years, and this just doesn't measure up. I realize UDO's vocals on that album are perhaps a tad processed/layered (correct me if I'm wrong), but that re-make didn't do anything for me, and I'm a big fan of the original. Sorry, not for me.

I don't have any feelings about this one way or the other. The clips sounded decent enough, but I'm not getting excited about a new release or anything. Good for them I guess.

Reformed ACCEPT To Begin Recording New Album With Producer ANDY SNEAP - Sep. 24, 2009
Reformed heavy metal legends ACCEPT have officially recruited acclaimed British producer and SABBAT guitarist Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE) to helm their forthcoming studio album. The as-yet-untitled CD — which will mark the recording debut of the band's new lead singer, Mark Tornillo (ex-TT QUICK) — will be recorded at Sneap's Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England starting on October 23. An early 2010 release is expected via an as-yet-undetermined record label.
Commented Sneap: "We just had a week of pre-production in Nashville at castle Von Hoffmann [guitarist Wolf Hoffmann's home], working on vocal ideas and arrangements for seven new ACCEPT songs. Mark Tornillo is seriously on the money; actually, he reminds me a touch of David Wayne from METAL CHURCH crossbred with Bon Scott [AC/DC] — not a pretty mental image, I know, but it's fitting the music great. He's got his own thing going as well, of course, but comparisons are always the easiest way to describe something without hearing it."
He added, "The music is now tending to lean towards the classic heavier albums too, so I'd class this last week as more of a front-row seat watching some great songs come together rather than work."
ACCEPT 2009 is:
Wolf Hoffmann: Guitar Peter Baltes: Bass Herman Frank: Guitar Mark Tornillo: Vocals Stefan Schwarzmann: Drums

I have a feeling that this will be miles upon miles better than that release. I didn't think it was that bad though just not something youd expect to hear after UDO left.
Last night in FYE, I saw a used copy of TT Quick's Metal of Honor. Looking for a thread this morning, I stumbled accross this one. Looking back now, some of the initial responses are pretty goddamn funny.
"Accept without UDO = sh!t."
"...it's not the same..."
"...He seriously sounds like a dying cat..."
"...NO UDO = NO ACCEPT!..."

I think most people just want something to be good. When they put out Blood Of The Nations to nearly universal "HELL YEAH"s, it silenced the naysayers.

You got something to trade for it? I could probably go back and pick it up for you. I think it was $7.99. I already have a copy or I woulda bought it for myself.
