| Anyone here familiar with a band from the Netherlands called Highway Chile? One of my all time favorite albums from the eighties is Highway Chile's Storybook Heroes. ANYWAY, after Highway Chile split up, drummer Ernst Van EE went on to form a new band called Helloise with singer Stan Verbaak. They released a couple of very good hard rock/heavy metal albums called Cosmogony and Polarity. ANYWAY, to get to the point, they have new album out, Highway Chile - Keeper Of The Earth. If you like classic pure hard rock with metallic edges and great hooks I encourage you to check it out. | |

This sounds like something I'd like. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

This sounds like something I'd like. Thanks, I should have provided a link in the first place. http://www.myspace.com/highwaychileofficial I'm listening right now. I really like what I'm hearing. I can't believe I wasn't even going to give this cd a chance. | |

| That sounds pretty good. Sort of in the Shakra, Gotthard, Pink Cream 69 vein. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Sounds quite good. It definitely has a 80's European metal vibe to it, I like the vocalist. |

| I assume the band's name is pronounced like "child" and not the country? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

It's the name of a Jimi Hendrix song. It is pronounced like Child without the 'd' sound on the end. |

| I can't look at "Chile" and not think "chilly". _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Listen to more Hendrix. It's a slang pronunciation for child. |
