I decided that my habit of buying off Amazon.com all the time might have caused me to miss out on some cultural experiences; so I decided to stir things up and go down to the local small town record shop and look around. The only place within 40 miles here that sells CD's is called "Wal-Mart", so that's where I went.
The good news is that there were a lot of scantily clad women with heavy eye shadow in the shop. The bad news is that most of them were at least my age or older. At my age I've figured out that it's best to cover my nakedness thoroughly; but this didn't seem to be the prevailing ethic in the sub-culture I encountered there at the "Wal-Mart" record store.
The other bad news is that they didn't have many CD's there. I managed to sift through and dig up the following rarities though:

Heaven & Hell-The Devil You Know (finally!)
Chickenfoot- s/t (finally!)
Black Stone Cherry- Folklore and Superstition
Charm City Devils- Let's Rock & Roll (clearance priced already!)

So I did find at least a couple of good discs, and managed to get out of my hum-drum rut for a little while. There's nothing that makes time fly like zoning out and rumaging through the racks for four hours at the local music store!
