Where did the Unicorns and rainbows theme go? I feel betrayed, I'm never listening to metal again.

I've been telling people for years that the Santa guy is really the devil. he's been disguising himself with that anagram for a while now.
Kinda like how Superman disguises himself as Clark Kent by just putting on a pair of glasses.

O.K. That should be in the Who/What gives metal a bad rep? thread. Almost as bad as the fan that carved Slayer into his arm.

Okay, either that dude fried a few too many brain cells as a youth, or has some serious un-dealt-with issues.
Favorite part of the first video was the 2 (possibly 3) instances where 2 clips together ended up sounding like "Hell is Hell!" Classic.
Despite the whole "satan" thing for Slayer being a gimmick, I still can't get into them. Musically solid, verging on awesome at times, but the lyrics in many songs are just too awful for my tastes.

I feel mostly the same way but I was looking at the lyrics of South Of Heaven and Reign In Blood and they weren't too bad so I got them. However I looked at the lyrics to Christ Illusion and God Hates Us All and felt differently. The newer lyrics seemed to be more serious than the older ones which can be shrugged off as gimmicky (not a real word I know-but who cares).

I agree. I used to love them back in the 80's but I can live without them now. Plenty of metal bands out there that are as good or better that dont make a career out of blaspheming God.

The kid in the Slayer vid is a large penga.
Listen up. PSA here. Whomever thinks that its fun, or funny, or cool or whatever to put a cat in a room all day long with absorutely BROOTAL Heavy Metal whilst the cat-owner goes off to school or work or whatnot, believe me, this is not a good idea.
Not a good idea for you, your company, or the animal. Cats can not, will not ever like human music like this. Their tiny brains can not process what's going on in the music, and it just sounds like VIOLENT NOISE to them....just like it sounds like those squarish, older members of our society. Violent Noise. Continued exposure to excessive volume levels of violent noise will breed cats who are violently predisposed. And, unhappy ones at that. Do you want an unhappy cat?
My buddy, Russell, thought it would be extremely fun to carry out a conditioning experiment where he'd lock his freshly squeezed, newborn, little kitten in a room with very LOUD levels of Sepultura and Deicide. And, this is how it would grow. For many months that kitten sat in that room with that violent devil music. When I saw it last, it had the look of demon spawn in its eyes. It hated its existence and was ready to let you know about it.
One day I came over to see Russ, but he was out. Somehow the cat had got out of the room and made its way down to the garage, under the old Corvette. The Mom, who was a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic, asked me to retrieve the cat and bring it back upstairs. I had an irrational fear of cats at this time and was trying my best to beat this little, unfounded phobia. So, I marched into that garage and stuck my arm underneath the Corvette to get the little bugger.
OUCH!!!!!!! The little Metal-infused bastage sunk ALL FOUR appendages into my right arm and did not let go. The pharker felt like twelve or so little needles piercing all my epidermal layers. I screamed like a little teenage schoolgirl, and the Mom only replied, "Did ya get 'im?" Oh, I got 'im alright. I got 'im good. I'm sitting there thinking of how I could thenceforth accesorize my wardrobe to account for this new fuffy, black and white forearm covering that I was now sporting. I pulled my arm out from underneath the car, and as soon as the pharker saw light, he bolted.
The bonkers Mom continued to pester me about tracking down the animal and returning it back to the Metalic environement upstairs. This is where I had to put my foot down on behalf of all things fuzzy. I told the Nonkers Mom that it seemed that the cat was doing whatever was in its power to escape from the punishingly BROOTAL Heavy Metal that it was being tortured with on a daily basis. I asked for mercy. I said, please, don't ya see what your sicko son is doing to the poor animal. And, this 'tard actually said, NO, he likes. Russ had convinced Nonkers Mom that the cat was happy in its Metalic death trap. There was no up and coming solace for the poor thing. If I could have put it to sleep myself, I would have. I didn't hang much with Russ after that Summer and have no idea what happened to that little pharker. But, he remained in my prayers. End of PSA.

That guy was torturing that cat. I think to the animals that is more of disturbing noise, than actual music, therefore it would never be music to them :

That cat video...if I thought the dude was torturing the cat I never would have posted it...I have a cat (she's like my child) and I would never do anything to hurt any animal.
If you watch the video, it sounds like the Slayer tune was added later, I think the cat was doing something completely different (ear mites as mentioned before, or who knows what)...and the guy thought it looked like headbanging, filmed the video and added the Slayer tune. At least that's how it appears to me.

Cats rule.
As for Slayer, I must say, I was floored when I first heard them. My cousin owned Show No Mercy, and after I mentioned I liked Metallica and Anthrax, he put that monster on and was convinced those were the most evil S.O.B's on the planet. The fast, complicated playing with the cheesy horror film lyrics, I was hooked. Today, I'm sort of with stepcousin. Their lyrics are pretty desolate, as is their music. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're pretty impressive on their instruments still when it comes to technical proficiency. Just soulless.

I don't think those cats are happy to live on such small place. We are talking about 130 cats living together on a small room. That is suffocation
