About ten years ago I got Princess Pang's S/T and Bang Tango's PSYCHO CAFE at a used CD store for 49 cents apiece. Nowadays that Princess Pang goes for pretty good coin on eBay, so that was a nice score.

Now that I think about it, the same store where I scored those 49 cent CDs was also where I snagged a still-sealed VHS copy of "The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years" for $2.99 around the same time. That baby goes for some pretty stupid $ on eBay nowadays too. But I'll never part with it unless the movie finally gets an official DVD release.

I stole Tesla-Times Making Changes and Queensryche-Empire on CD and Mortification-s/t at a Wal-Mart when I was 16 Smile .

Quote :
I've bought several from Amazon zShops for one cent. Had to add 2.99 shipping though.

I've gotten a few like that (Extreme-III Sides To Every Story and Soul Asylum-Grave Dancer's Union-the latter with no case or cover). Apart from those and a few others, I also paid $1 each for Aerosmith-Pump and America-Human Nature.

well, this just is too easy, how about the least you ever paid for a hard to find CD that normally goes for a lot more

Several I got in a buy one at $4.99 get one free bin:

Fear Of God-Within The Veil ($21 on Amazon)
Armegeddon-Three ($80 on Amazon)

At Half-Price Books:

Seven Nations-Old Ground $3.98 ($65 on Amazon)

If we're going down that route, then you can add a few tapes and a cd or 2 that were part of a five-finger discount from Tower Records back when I was in high school.

I have done a few "price adjustments" here and there at Tower by putting sale price stickers over original price stickers.

Recently I got Winters Bane - Girth (35.00 Amazon) and Angel Witch - Sinister History (25.00 Amazon) in a four for a dollar sale at Hastings. 25 CENTS! What I love is that they then have common stuff priced like it is some kind of rarity.

Wow. Is that Winters Bane out of print now or something? I got mine a year or 2 ago as part of that $5 deal at cdbaby. I had no idea.

EDIT: Whoops. It wasn't Girth I got at cdbaby, it was Winter Bane's Redivivus. I don't remember where I got Girth, but I know I got it cheaper than $35.
