| What concert(s) have you anticipated only to be disapointed, rather bad performance, band no shows, tech issues or just surrounded by a bunch of idiots? I don't remember the year but Barren Cross was suppose to open up for Bloodgood in Tacoma, Barren Cross' flight was cancelled due to weather and obviously could not be there. Although Bloodgood, as always, put on a killer show; I really wanted to see B.C. Having lived near Seattle/Tacoma all of my life, I had seen Bloodgood numerous time so I was very disappointed. | |

| Worst concert I ever been to I didn't go to. I just bought a brand new 06 Focus ZX3 and put 3500 down on it. I got full coverage and my g/f at the time wanted to see her fav band Goldfinger in Philly. I said sure. I thought about taking off that day and driving her and a friend there but I didn't. On the way to work I received a phone call of her hysterically screaming saying she totaled the car. I had it 3 weeks and drove it a few times. She ran a red light looking at a map and hit the side of a bus doing about 40. The car was totaled, I didn't get reimbursed as she wasn't on the insurance, regardless if I had full coverage or not. In PA if you are a licensed driver and you live in the household of someone getting insurance you either are on the insurance or you are not. I said keep her off, meaning she isn't covered and isn't allowed to drive it.
Therefore the concert cost me roughly 4k and a huge hit on my credit as I will not pay for a car I do not drive.

| King's X. One of my favorite bands. Have been able to see them once. They played three songs. There were problems with the sound on stage. By the third song Dug Pinnick was getting frustrated. Towards the end of the song he slammed his bass on the stage, grabbed the mic, finished singing the song. Threw the mic and stand on the stage and walked off stage cussing, leaving his bandmates standing there shrugging. Three frickin' songs! That was it. BOOO!!! (Still love King's X though. Hope to see them again someday.)
Dokken. I've seen them several times. Once they were spectacular. They were opening for Whitesnake and the Scorpions. Great show. The other times I've seen them, Don Dokken was terrible. He sang out of key, he had no stage presence, etc. I swear, when I saw them opening for Cinderella, that someone had stapled Don's feet to the stinkin' stage. He never moved, just stood there and howled. The bass player actually had a better voice than Don. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I have seen Dokken a few times, since they were every band's favorite opening act, most performance were excellent but at the Monsters of Rock show, Don looked drunk, sang off key and the amps picked up the airport's radio transmission, not very good show and was not surprised when they called it a day soon after that. | |

| The one time I saw Dokken, they were tight and awesome. It was one of Lynch's last shows if not his last. | |

| Saw Dokken twice during the Lynch era. First time was opening for Judas Priest (86 on their TURBO tour) and they smoked. Second time was on the Van Halen's Monsters of Rock tour in 88, they were OK then too (though the sound quality throughout that entire show was pretty bad as we were in an open air stadium, which made the music swirl around like it was in a giant soup bowl). The Monsters of Rock show was interesting because at one point Lynch's guitar started having problems and since my friends and I had seats at the rear of the stage, we had a clear view of him going behind the back line and kicking his tech square in the ass. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Queen + Paul Rodger last year on tour together and it was horrible. PR is very bad idea as substitute for Freddie Mercury. it was the 1st and last time i attended to their Q+PR show. it's over, no more again. | |

| I saw Dokken a few years ago, when Reb Beach was the guitarist. Great show by the other 3 members of the band, but Don barely moved and just acted in a very douche-like manner the whole time, like he had somewhere else to be. Maybe because he was the mid-slot act between openers Cinderella and head-liners Poison. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I saw Tesla once in the early 90's where they were having a very off night, I had seen them before and several times after where they have been better than good but that night was bad.
Ozzy on the Ultimate Sin tour, he was a boring flabby joke but Metallica was on as the opening act and stole the show
But the worst I have ever seen was Firehouse, they were worse than totally sucking. They were booed off the stage, and before they left I heard them say "Come on guys, lets rock"

| I saw King Diamond once and the live mix was beyond awful!!! There was tons of feedback and you could hear guitar one song and it would be gone by the next. Whoever the sound guy was I bet got fired after that terrible job. | |

| I don't think I've ever been to a metal show that I thought was bad or disappointing. I'm sure there were shows that in retrospect probably sucked but at the time I enjoyed them.
The most disappointing non-metal concert would be Peter Gabriel on the Us tour. I got a free ticket and still thought it was barely mediocre. Too many pointless props (he had a conveyor belt that went to a phone booth on an extended stage - so he was running on this thing moving in the opposite direction and trying to sing) and not near enough of his older stuff.

| The Country Club in Resda, Calif used to have concerts for christian artists and would close down the bar for the night. One time they did a friday night and saturday night thing with about 5 or 6 bands each night. Friday was Barren Cross as headliner and saturday was Holy Soldier. I played in one of the friday night bands and we decided to use triggers on the drums instead of microphones to quicken the set up process and get a killer drum sound. After three songs, the brain for the triggers malfunctioned and no matter what drum I hit it sounded like one of the floor toms. It was really lame and I never used the triggers again. | |

| cavalera conspiracy, and Twisted Sister both on different dates, but same crapy place. IVING PLAZA NEW YORK 2007,2008 I think is the place, but both shows from different dates and years, had horrendous opening bands, with the exception of belladonna opening, which was even better than TS. When it was time for the band to play they played like at 11 PM, or almost 12PM, Cavalera Conspiracy played like 30 minutes , and didn't play an entire song from Sepultura, just re-mixes, and TS didn't play with energy, and was less than 2 hours, maybe 1 and a half One year later, I went to see TS on nokia on 2008 and the performance was better, it started eralier and no crapy bands opened for the band | |

| Megadeth were the worst concert I've seen. It was only 2 weeks ago on the 18th Feb. Testament were on before them and they played an unbelievable set. Excellent selection of songs, great performances from everyone in the band and a brutally heavy yet crystal clear sound. Truly amazing. I had just seen Testament, Megadeth and Priest 2 days before on the Priest Feast in Glasgow with My Girlfriend and all bands were on top form, so obviously I was looking forward to seeing Testament and Megadeth on their own 2 days later. When Megadeth came on stage, the sound was horrible. Very tingy and quiet, then when Sleepwalkers kicked in, the sound went through the roof and was distorted to a point where I and my friends couldn't make out what songs were being played. The sound was going up and down, up and down throughout the set, and then Mustaine introduced a song that was meant to be from Youthanasia and they played Ashes in Your Mouth. So me and my friends walked out. I actually walked out of a Megadeth concert. One on my fav bands and I walked out. I WAS GUTTED!!! | |

| Went to see UDO on his last tour and couldn't bare to endure the bad sound. I actually got a headache during his set, and it ws a darn shame too, seeing how long I'd wanted to catch this band live. _________________ | |

| The worst concert I ever went to was some crappy supposedly "metal" festival in the park. Admission was 5 bucks, and there were only like 20 people there. All the bands were playing crappy grindcore. I swear, one band played 3 songs with just an E minor chord and the lyric "GAH!" Not worth 5 bucks. | |

| I haven't been to enough concerts to be truly disappointed. I wasn't too wild to see Rage Against The Machine but my best friend was a big fan so I went and while not my scene, I didn't have a terrible time. When I was in the navy I went with our youth group to a concert featuring many CCM bands (I only remember Newsboys). Not my thing and the music kind of bored me but it wasn't a terrible time. I guess the only thing that dissapointed me was seeing Symphony X on the first Gigantour. The metalcore bands performed before them and the sound guys didn't change the sound settings for Symphony X so the sound was muddled (however, Allen's voice was superb). Symphony X was incredible when I saw them last year so that more than made up for it. | |

| KMFDM They were the headliners and it was totally not their fault but after a nice opening set by God LIves Underwater, the audience was inundated by a bass-heavy set by the dreaded Korn. By the time KMFDM took the stage, I had such a splitting headache thanks to Korn's distorted bass that I didn't even make it to the end of the show. That's reason enough for my passsionate hatred of Korn...as if their music didn't suck enough in its own right. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
