I was reading Metal Hammer Thrash Metal special the other day and I was looking at the 50 essential Thrash Metal album section and they recommended this descrete aussie thrash metal band called Hobbs' and saying how good their angel of death album is. What I want to know is what do they sound like and how do you compare them to other aussie metal bands like Mortal Sin.

The band is actually called Hobbs angel of death....I like them, but they are no means a classic, still arguably the best thrash to come from Australia in my opinion though.
Start with the first two.

German thrash metal from Australia! They are pretty good, if you like it rowdy and dirty and mean.

I like what I've heard from them but, I'm not familiar enough to recommend anything.

Hobb's Angel of Death are an awesome band! Not a bad album in their collection either. Their S/T is a classic.

classic old school thrash. Worth it if you can find it at a decent price.
