| Can you think of any replacement band members that were better than who they replaced?
Examples:
Hammett for Mustaine? Dickinson for DiAnno? Dio for Ozzy?
I personally think all the listed above are improvements for their respective bands.
Others I thought of as improvements were Manni Schmidt for Uwe Luiis (Grave Digger), Craig Goldy for Vivian Campbell (DIO), Zetro for Baloff (Exodus), Billy for Zetro (Testament).
Some disappointments: Morse for Blackmore, Coverdale for Gillan (both Deep Purple), Zack Wylde for Jake E Lee (Ozzy), Whoever Axl has in his band on guitar for Slash, Joe Hasselvander for Gonzo (Raven), Dave Padden for Joe Comeau (Annihilator)...................
You try. |

| John Bush for Joey Belladonna I love Paul D'ianno but I think Bruce Dickinson was an improvement Michael Schenker replacing Mick Bolton in UFO a great improvement Dave Grohl replacing whoever drummed for Nirvana Ian Gillan replacing Rod Evans definite improvement
most bands that have replaced vocalist due to death or the member leaving, not so much diappointments but I do prefer the classic line up for example AC/DC or Van Halen, like both line ups but prefer Bon Scott and David Lee Roth .

Can't agree with that one, all of a sudden Priest getting a thrash drummer never did sit well with me. |

| I agree with Shannon there. Holland never seemed to have much to offer, other than basic timekeeping. |

| The stuff that Holland plays was technically "easy", but simplicity can be a beautiful thing...the guy could create a groove like crazy. |

| Slim Dunlap for Bob Stinson in the Replacements.......
Sorry i don't believe that, just being ironic.
Actually Razzle replacing Gyp Casino behind the kit in Hanoi Rocks was a good move, love Razzle's druggy surf beat and Keith Moon like English eccentricity. | |
