Anyone got info on this one? Who is Freddie Nelson?

Sounds like some unknown guitar player who's been kicking around Pennsylvania an is now a singer. Reports say he was in bands with some guys that also played with Gilbert as he is also from Penn and now Paul has tapped him to sing on this album. Samples are ok, he sounds kind of modern rockish.

And he has this pithy quote on his site:

Far out, man. I think I just blew my mind reading that.

As for the album, I'll probably pick that up at some point. I'm a fan (of varying degrees) of all of Mr. Gilbert's sizable body of work, and I'm sure this will be no different. Although what I really really want is some new Racer X.

You got me into Saga from the animated avatar you had up a while ago. I decided to check into them and they are along the same lines as Rush so I like them. I heard some songs on their website for the new album and it sounded good. I just hope FYE will have it tomorrow.

They made these re-issues as digi packs? I bought these re-issues last year and they were all jewel cases. I think these are the same just now they are finally released in the US.

EDIT: Paul Gilbert only plays on 3 tracks (lead guitar in "Upon the Door" and "Do You Know My Name?", flamenco guitar in "Two Down, One To Go"). The album sounds interesting though.

If I had the money I'd buy those 50th anniversary editions of the Brubeck, Mingus & Miles Davis dates...but I don't, so I won't worry about it.

Thankfully, I don't see anything there I want.

It's been a helluva month between my H.G. Lewis movie roundup and various CDs, I've spent a small fortune.

lol yea im glad this whole month has been kinda slow because I probably spent .... wait maybe I shouldnt say what I spent incase my gf reads this from her computer haha

Again, nothing worth buying (except for those jazz discs, maybe).
