Didn't know BBVD was still around. I've always liked those guys, but obviously lost track of 'em. I'd probably pick this up eventually.

As for BLS, it doesn't seem that long ago that Kings of Damnation (greatest hits)came out. Pass on that one.

I already pre-ordered the Heaven and Hell. I don't see anything else there that I want which is a good thing because I spent a small fortune today rounding up a bunch of 60s gore flicks and remakes of 60s gore flicks.

This is a good one to pick up if you're into Clutch and don't already have the original release.

Been a slow year on new releases for me so far. Waiting for Primal Fear and Cage's new ones.

The only things I'd be interested in off that list PRD, is the Ben Folds cd and the Chick Corea one.

I'm glad I already pre-ordered the H&H and there isn't anything else I want...cause I'm so broke I can't even afford to pay attention.

Yep, that's what that Smithereens disc is. Sounds just like the original though so why bother?

They recently did the same thing in a similiar fashion with the Beatles. They covered the entire Meet the Beatles album. Sounded cool in theory, but the final product sounded like a very talented bar band covering the Beatles. Why not just listen to the Beatles?

Yeah I know, metalheads love to slag that band but since I also like power pop/punk, I couldn't care less what "metalheads" think.

I used to really like Green Day back when Dookie came out. After that they lost me. Too many people started listening to them and it was just non stop Green Day songs over and over and over so thanks to people like you TOHO they are ruined for me forever. but the part about them being over played is true. I got sick of it.

What's with the Zak reissues? Those aren't hard to get.

Yes, I actually wanted to go out and by their cover of Meet the Beatles. I thought it was an original band, and being a fan of both the Smithereens and the Beatles I thought it would be good. But, you are right... it just soudned like a really good cover band. Why bother?

Having said that, however, I heard that J Mascis (I'm not sure if alone or with Dinosaour Jr.) once covered Cheap Tricks' first album in its entirety in concert. I'd like a bootleg of that.
