New Mexico based ULTIMATUM have announced that they will head into the studio immediately to begin recording an album of covers titled, “Lex Metali” which translates to “Metal is Law”. The band will be recording the album in Albuquerque’s Site 16 Studios.
ULTIMATUM is scheduled to record METALLICA’s “Creeping Death”, MOTORHEAD’s “Iron Fist”, VENGEANCE RISING’s “Can’t Get Out”, MOSHKETEER’s “Locked in Chains”, JUDAS PRIEST’s “Steeler”, MORTIFICATION's "Gut Wrench" along with 6 other songs.
LEX METALI is scheduled for release in 2009 via RETROACTIVE RECORDS _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Couldn't work in Denim and Leather, I guess...
That is too bad, cuz I know Robert could make that tune his own. And it is one that has hardly ever been covered.
Congrats!!! |

| Cool, but I think it should just be called Metal is law straight up instead of the latin name or whatever. | |

Congrats!!! Ahhhh, don't be too quick to dismiss. We were playing around with that song at our last practice. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Hey Ult, any ideas for the actual cover of the cd? Will this be another Rexorcist production? I'm in agreement with the Metal Is Law title as well. Lex Metali sounds like a porn name or something. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Awesome! Can't wait. Any Exodus or Accept covers? Will you re-record any songs you've already covered (like "Sins of Omission")? | |

Accept. No. We talked about doing one, but didn't come up with a song we could agree on. Exodus. Possibly. We have a couple in our list. I'm shooting for "Thrash Under Pressure". _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Lex Metali? As a casual fan, that gives me no clue that this is a covers album. I hope that hardcore fans are paying attention and know that they are buying an album of cover songs and not new Ultimatum material. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Not defending this because I suggested the idea (it really doesn't matter), but why does a band need to title a covers album in a way to make it known it's a covers album? A little sticker on the cellophane can do that. |

A little sticker on the cellophane can do that. If there is a sticker indicating that it's a covers album, then I have no problem with the album title. Similar to what the Offspring did when the re-released their debut album but put a sticker on it stating that this was not new material. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I look forward to hearing your lot cover 'Creeping Death'. I have the feeling that my knowledge of the other stuff on the album may be a tad patchy. _________________ | |
