Heart of Metal (The Song)

Not to sound like a kiss-ass, but I swear this is one of the best metal tunes I've ever heard. I know it may be fashionable to praise the band here, but this song absolutely rules.

It just came on, that's why I'm posting this. Haha. Such a great riff, and that damn chorus! Imagine this song with a couple thousand people singing that chorus. Killer!

Yeah. I agree. The song is very catchy and gets stuck in your head.

I posted this song in the "favorite choruses" or whatever the thread was, I absolutely love it.

That was a demo version exclusive to that disc, by the way....at least at the time. Not sure if its on one of the Ultimatum reissues or not.

Yeah, when I got Into The Pit my daughter said "That's the same song, but it's different."

Not only did that song get me into Ultimatum, it sort of got me back into the extreme metal scene all together. Utlimatum whet my appetite for Thrash and then I've been picking up more Death metal as well. Yay!

I've always pictured a large crowd chanting along to that song. It didn't take long for the song to start catching on at club shows. People seemed to enjoy singing along to the chorus.

The demo version was exclusive to the first CMR compilation. However, it has since been added as a bonus track to the Mechanics re-issue.

I just ripped it from my cd for my car cdr this week.

I remember listening to it for the first time with my dad when I first got Into the pit. I was laying on my bed and my dad got up from the recliner and started to do a little skank while throwing a pair of horns when the chorus came on....


He still likes Symphonic Extremities better though.

They lyrics are corny, but that was the whole idea of the song. It's just good sing-along, fist pumping fun. However, I can say it wasn't inspired by Manowar whatsoever. The song was actually inspired by Sweet.

That is interesting, never in a million years would I think that a song by Ultimatum was in any way inspired by the Sweet. Very cool and makes me appreciate the song even more.

Exonerate & Deathwish sound much better to me. HoM is ok though.

I remember driving and listening to "Action" when the song idea came to me. I even paid a bit of homage to the song in the first line of the song, "Hit the Lights, Bring up the Action".

Its decent but I like Blink alot better
