I hope they have a fire sale like Tower Records. Even if their selection is limited, I'm sure to find something of interest. On a related note, I read that the Virgin Music store in Times Square, NYC is closing it's doors too. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Seriously, I bet that Powermacho is gonna sh*t when he hears that. He's mentioned that store in his posts several times, I gather that it's his favorite CD shopping place... _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I was only in the Times Square one once a few years ago. Nice selection, but thought they were over-priced. Didn't buy anything. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| A few of my friends work at the one over here in Albuquerque, and this sucks! I'm not the biggest fan of the stores either, but I hate to see an entire franchise getting shut down. | |

| My company (Dick's Sporting Goods) is right next door to a Circuit City and it's been a madhouse there all day. I run the Hunting Lodge so I am in the back of the store all day so I didn't notice until I was heading home. The parking lot looked like a typical black Friday. They have 30 days to liquidate everything. As a fellow retail employee I really feel for the 34,000 who are out of work. | |

| My Circuit City just closed a couple weeks ago. I went there and just as it was when it was open, there was nothing there. The sales werent even that great so I never bought anything. The last big purchase I made there was my laptop. Otherwise I barely shopped there.
Pretty soon there wont be any more stores to shop in and everything will just be online. It'll suck cause then there wont be anywhere to go we'll all just sit home and wait for things to come in the mail. _________________

| I went to my local Circuit City today and the cd racks were already picked pretty much clean. All cd's (and dvd's) were 20% off, but you could see that once a display of 4+ aisles was already condensed down to 2 and a half. I can't believe that they sold off that much inventory already, so I'm thinking they must've shipped off some to another store or something. I wasn't expecting to find any rare gems, but I was hoping to fill some holes in my collection with some common titles for cheap. I didn't find anything good. And even a few discs that I thought "Well, maybe", I put back. 20% off of a $14 cd ain't worth it to me. Bummer. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Pretty soon the only stores left will be Wal-Mart and Best Buy.
Man, that's a depressing thought. |

Best Buy HQ is about a mile from my house, so there is a BB on every block - and every CC I have seen is within a block or 2 of a Best Buy. But it does not matter to me. The only time I ever step foot in a box store is when someone gives me a gift card. Then usually I'll blow it on a dvd boxset that I would usually be to cheap to purchase [I usually wait a year until I can find them cheap at a pawn shop]. |

| If your local Circuit City store isn't shuttered already, it will be after this coming Sunday, which will be their last day in business. According to the paper the final day was supposed to be a week from Sunday, but apparently stuff sold out to the walls so quickly that they're shutting down ahead of schedule. ...and as usual, I never got a chance to go to a Circuit City and see if I could pick some cheap CDs or DVDs off their carcass. Dang. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I went to one of our local Circuit Cities and they were not kidding it looked like a carcass after all of buzzards had sworn in, they had tons of movies and television show box sets, as far as CD's I could only find one Rolling Stones and the rest where either hip hop or latino music. | |

| I went on Tuesday and the place literally looked like a tornado went through it. They had a small number of cds left which were 70% off. A lot of C-list rap and singer-songwriters stuff. Basically it was four dollars a disc. Not worth any blind buys. I did get Airbourne's Runnin Wild though. | |

I went in about 2 weeks ago, when cd's were 50% off. Found a coupla of things, but it was pretty picked over then. I can't imagine what would be left at this point. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I went to Circuit City trying to buy a 500GB external drive (for all my music), The one I wanted was $120 on 30% mark-down. I left the store and went to Fry's Electronics and got the exact same one for $90 on sale. Circuit City's prices suck!
