I was using the search function to see if anyone posted about a folk musician named Alastair Ian Stewart (AKA: Al Stewart). Whenever I feel like just sitting back and relaxing, I throw in Year of the Cat or Time Passages. Anyone around here like him? Hate him? Have No idea who he is...

Poll not working. I would have to go with "Who is Al Stewart?" because I've heard the name, but I'm not familiar with his music.

That was quite good. I'd change my answer to "Yes".

He's WAY before my time, but my dad hooked my up with his Best of and Time passages. That song alone inspired me to learn to play the sax.

Way before me too. I'm actually younger than you, but now you got me listening to his other stuff too. "On The Border" is another good one from him.

Classics: Year of The Cat, Bedsitter Images, Time Passages, Soho, Electric Los Angeles Sunset. Really mellow stuff... oh and the epic: Roads to Moscow.

I love Al Stewart, great singer songwriter. My fav. track is Year of the Cat, but I love Roads To Moscow, In Brooklyn, Song on the Radio, Time Passages. I recently found his Greatest Hits disc used at a decent price so I couldn't pass it up.
