THE BOARD RULES

Please take some time to read, and reflect upon, this boards rules. They are here to make everyones stay as good as possible.

1 - NO CUSSING / BAD LANGUANGE
Try not to use those words that may be offensive. We all know what they are. The cuss-filter gets most of them and turns them into "smurf-whatever", but not all of them. Please do not try to supersede the filter by the obvious methods. This is also to prevent the board from getting "unusable" for members with computers using various filters.

2 - NO FLAMING
It’s hard to know when someone is joking around with someone that does not know the other someone very well yet. That's a lot of "someones". The members that have been around awhile know when another old member is joking - but a newer poster may not know when an older poster is joking with them and vice-versa. If 2 members want to be light-hearted and they are not yet familiar with each other, make it CLEAR that you are just messing around (IE; j/k - or a smiley emoticon etc). Logic comes into play a lot of the time.
Creating several accounts and using various user names is also a no-no.

3 - ISM'S
Many "ism's" will not be tolerated whatsoever…Racism, Sexism, Religion-ism, etc. One warning and that's it. Do it again, and you're banned. Period!

4 - FORUMS AND AREAS
Use the correct forum and/or area for you posting. There is a correct place for everything on this board. And it's easier for others to contribute when they actually find your thread, AND know what it is about.

5 - CONVERSATION
Try, as best as you can, to contribute to the conversation. Use a proper language, spell as correctly as you can, use as correct grammar as you can etc. 1-word replies (and/or posting only an emoticon) are for the most part meaningless, so at least TRY and come up with something more to write. Posting dribble, just to boost your postcount is frowned upon too.
Also think about what you name a thread. The topic title is the source of conversation! It also helps a proper use of the search function, which brings us to the next point.

6 - THE SEARCH FUNCTION
We have one, and it WORKS! If you find that your topic ha been debated before, contribute to that conversation, rather than starting 4 new threads on the same old topics. The only exception is if the thread you are searching for is in the R.I.P. section. Then you might start a new one, in the appropriate area.

7 - LINKS
We do not approve links to sites that promote porn, illegal downloading or otherwise incriminationg contents. If you do not own the rights to the material you post, be it picture hotlinking, mp3-files or whatever, don't post it. Please use common sense before spamming the board with litter from other websites.

8 - 50 POST MINIMUM IN THE METAL MARKET
Sorry, but this a metal board with a selling section, not the other way around. And we want to know who we are dealing with first. Anyone with less than 50 posts will have their posts in the Metal Market section deleted without question. We really want you to use this board as a community, and not just a place to do your business. We also try to avoid illegal mp3's, CDr's and bootlegs.

9 - AVATAR AND SIGNATURE
Feel free to give yourself and avatar and/or sig that is appropriate for a board that has minors on it. We do not allow nudity. And please use moderation when it comes size.

10. PRESERVING THE GROUP DYNAMIC
The Moderators reserve the right to suspend anyones account with or without prior warning; if we feel that it is in the best interest of the overall group. Keeping a thriving community going is our top priority and we will protect that group if the situation warrants.


Some of you will think that these rules are UN-METAL. Well, you're wrong. Metal is about unity. We can disagree about different bands, styles, genres, etc - but when it gets personal, it is no longer unified. Thus, the above rules/guidelines must stay in place to ensure unity.

And one last thing, if anyone has ANY issues with a member, a post, the general atmosphere of a particular thread, PM an Admin or Mod. We are here for exactly that function. There is nothing that cannot be worked out!

So, with that, let's get back to our collective passion - METAL, METAL, METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
