Who else likes Zoetrope?

Anyone else a fan of this thrash, er, "street" metal band?

The only record I owned was "Amnesty" and I haven't heard it since the late 80's, but I remember it being quite awesome.

Barry Stern was a great drummer/vocalist and his untimely passing was sad indeed.

When did barry stern die? was it recently?

He died in 2005, one of the roadies for Trouble told me it was a blood clot that wasn't caught when he was in the hospital for hip replacement surgery, the clot traveled to his brain and killed him.

thats really unfortunate...I have never heard zoetrope but I liked the other band he was in.

Good band. Nothing flashy, nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable in all it's bare-bones approach.

That is what made them so cool! Amnesty and Life of Crime ARE classics. Mind over Splatter? Eh - wasn't really even the same band.

I have the Life of Crime pullout poster from the album smack dab behind my computer. Has all the guys with their Police Cards and what crimes they were accused of. My fav is Calvin "Willis" Humphrey:
Wanted for: attempted murder of a stage manager of a club in NYC, Possession of a controlled substance, Jaywalking, Construction of a missile silo without a permit in Billings, Montana, Rollerskating on Lake Michigan, and illegal insider trading at a comic book convention. haha. The other three are just as rediculous.

Awesome poster! I remember that...so maybe I did own that album at some point...hmmm...too many brain cells destroyed between 1984 and 1994.

1984-2004 for me....

Oh, I kept burning them after 1994...but at a more conservative rate.

I used to have a room nearly as bad as that...wall to wall books shelves, cds and books stacked everywhere...all the walls covered....toys and doo ads all over the place....THEN

Someday when I send him out to Minnesote to live with his Uncle, I shall recaim what was rightfully mine....muwhahahahahah!!!

I wish I actually had some "personal space", I'm staying with a friend temporarily and all my stuff is in boxes. I have just enough space in my bedroom for my stereo and computer...I have to keep the guitar and amp out in the living room because I literally can't fit it in there.

Mine's not nearly as cool.

No, He just doesn't wear it to school anymore....

And he doesn't like NUGENT much.....aside from songs he hears on the radio...

KISS, AC/DC, ALICE COOPER and KIX are his faves at this juncture,
