Right now I'm pretty damn depressed. Tomorrow we have to give up our dog and all that crap I caused over at the album elimination game thread. So I'm just sittin here, listening to Pink Floyd.

Unless this isn't the first time he bit someone or he's not up to date on shots, the authorities usually will forgive the first bite.

Yeah, he's got his shots. And it's not an authority issue, he's kind of a new dog, and my parents apparently don't want a biter.

Not to get all animal "preachy" on ya, but A) all companion animals should be neutered or spayed because it drastically reduces aggression, B) tethering a dog (i.e. tying it up with insufficient room to run) tends to make them territorial and therefore more prone to biting and C) your pet should never be allowed to "roam" free unless you have a fenced in yard.
Hopefully, none of this applies to your dog.

Then again, there are some animals that, because of their past, are just more prone to biting and all the training and discipline in the world won't alleviate that.

Believe me, I'm a major animal advocate and work with a guy who runs a pit bull rescue group so I know what I'm talking about. My friend at work has had to put some dogs down because they just couldn't be rehabilitated.

Don't worry about the album elimination thing...it's a game on an online message board, not exactly a capital crime.

As much as I love Pink Floyd...they don't go great with depression...listen to some AC/DC or something.

As for me, my hump is officially busted. Yesterday I took the air conditioners out of all the upstairs windows (my bedroom, and the bedrooms of both kids) and stashed'em away in the attic til next year, then brought down all the Halloween decorations and put'em up around the house. Then I mowed my lawn for what hopefully will be the last time this season, amongst other odd jobs and chores.

Thankfully today there's nothing major on the slate except a trip to my brother's place for dinner -- it's his birthday.

I'm doin alright today. Had a dinner of cereal and potato wedges.

I had mesquite grilled chicken breast with baked potato and green beans.

Quite bummed...I got ripped off last night.

Got "picked up" by a couple girls after the concert last night and we ended up heading to a local strip club (their suggestion). Definitely alot of fun while I was there...but I went to the bathroom after last call and when I returned they were gone...and I got stuck with a $300 tab (they had been charging drinks/dances to my tab without my knowledge)....by some stroke of luck I had just enough in my checking account to cover it.

So now I'm going to be eating Ramen noodles for the rest of the week.
