FEARS

Some of peoples fears seem irrational, but they are very real to them. My friends always rip on me about having a fear of clowns. I don't actually have a "fear", I just find them very unnatural and they make me uneasy.

My own real-life, true fears are: flying [had a very bad flight in 2000. Don't ask] and dying by fire.


Anyone else want to come out of the closet?

I have two friends who are afraid of clowns. How can you be afraid of yourself?

I am afraid to suffocate or be buried alive.

Don't like spiders and long finger nails, no joke.

My life is lived in fear. Honestly.

I have the "waiting for the other shoe to drop" mentality. OCD is fun.

But I really hate large amounts of insects. Especially in the house, I feel as though they will take over. How's that for irrational?

Absolutely terrified of spiders. One dropped on my arm while I was in the garden over the weekend and after dancing wildly to brush it off, I had to go inside and put antiseptic on my arm.

i'm claustrophobic...does that count?

I hate Spiders. They scare the crap outta me. If any come within 100 feet of me I'm like "STEP ON THAT F**K!"

Not a big fan of spiders either, especially since NM is infested with Black Widows.

I do think that Tarantulas are pretty cool looking. They run wild here, but I'd never get anywhere near one.

Spiders suck, but scorpions suck more! Not to fond of centipedes either.

If any of them get anywhere near me they become part of the bottom of my shoe.

Restrictive clothing....I suppose it's a clausterphobia/anxiety thing. Tight shoes, tight collars....it freaks me out....so MC666 I'd say your thing counts. I count it.

Flying sort of....but I just try not to think about it when in the air.

I'm afraid of water....not swimming pools but like rivers, oceans, lakes...especially if the water is dark and I can't see the bottom....

I'm afraid of dogs (was mauled by a german shepperd and doberman when I was little)

I'm afraid of speaking in front of large groups of people I don't know.

I'm afraid of spiders and silverfish and loads of other insectine vermin...

You're afraid of what might be IN the water...not the water itself...

I'm afraid of water in large quantities...like in movie scenes when a 40ft tidal wave is about to engulf a beachside town, I get cold chills...

I'm afraid to post my fears on a message board and reveal myself to complete strangers. Whoops!

I am terribly afraid of sharks. I won't go into the ocean much deeper than my knees, and only then if I can see bottom. Any deeper and I would panic. Really.

I have a serious phobia of needles. Hypodermic, sewing, knitting, pine, you name it - and I'm scared of it. Getting shots is pure torture. The sole reason I have no tattoos is because of this fear. Sometimes I wonder if it isn't actually a fear of being stabbed.

I did manage to overcome my childhood fear of water and cats though.

I loathe clowns. Once in a haunted house this creepy one was following me so I actually clocked him. Good thing about haunted houses is they are dark and crowded.
Claustrophobic too.
Get vertigo at cliff edges or bridges or other high things I can see the edge.

Flying
The dark (yes I'm a big baby)
Someone breaking into my house
Roaches
Moths
Spiders

I'm afraid of people. They're all crazy.
