In context, Five Finger Death Punch is a great CD. It's no classic, but when you want something that grooves and pummels a la Pro-Pain's style, that's a good CD.

Now don't get me wrong here, Thundersteel is a great album, but no classic, in my opinion. People call it a classic, and I just found it to be rather typical. But it is a great album, typical or not.

You've got a much broader musical taste than I and I know it's not your style to bag on an album you don't like, but when I see all the posts you make calling an album "killer", "awesome" or "solid", I don't hold much value in 'em. Sorry. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but we've got very different tastes in music.

I only own one other Riot album (Sons of Society) so I'm looking forward to Thundersteel no matter what. Overrated, underrated, classic, typical, whatever. It's new to me and that's all I care about.

Underrated or overrated thanks to this thread I will have to listen to "Thundersteel" when I get home, and it is a weird that only other Riot cd I currently own is also "Sons of Society" , I used to own "Born in America" on vinyl than I got rid of it and have regretted ever since. Some day I will have to start rebuilding my Riot collection
