etc etc etc............. You amaze me RP. How does someone who's only 21 years old have such an expansive knowledge of music created 25 years before he was born? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Because i'm obsessive, read way too many music magazines, dig through too many dusty record stores etc........plus half those bands were on that great Nuggets compilation.

| Blue Cheer, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Beatles, Small Faces, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Sedaka, Cream, The Byrds, Jeff Beck, MC5, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Santana, The Velvet Underground, The Herd, Spencer Davis, The Doors, Frank Sinatra, Shangri Las and many more!
A band that I really want to hear more from is The Gun (who did the awesome "Race With the Devil in hm... -67?). Is there someone who have listened more to these guys and know if it's any good?

Not (often) massively heavy, but very creative and diverse. Very deep band, and I think their albums Gun and Gunsight are available really cheap. The Gurvitz brothers went on to form the excellent hard rock bands 3 Man Army; and my favorite The Baker Gurvitz Army with Ginger Baker from Cream. There are really nice complete anthologys out of all three Gurvitz bands now. All of it is good proggy hard rock.

| Fleetwood Mac without a doubt. i love that band. i grew up with them.
the Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Led Zeppelin, Blue Cheer, & the Stones had moments of greatness as well. Mick Fleetwood is one of my heroes though. _________________
