Hi all,

If
you check my top friends you will see an official Savatage page. There
have been a few pages going by the Savatage name but this is the first
one that is being handled by us in the band.

I hope you will
spread the word and we are also going to update www.savatage.com very
soon. We are hoping to add some new and classic merchandise as well as
give you some exciting news about future events. It has been a very
long time since Savatage has updated the site so we figured this year
of "Change" was as good as any!

I am heading to California in
the morning to meet and go over some designs for this site as well as a
re-design for my www.chriscaffery.com. Marc "Rock Star" Kancler will be
handling this. I am going in the studio on Thursday with Mr. Bob Kulick
to record some lead guitars for Ripper Owens new solo CD. This I am
very excited for. I wrote the music for a song called "The Shadows are
Alive" Very metal, I think you will all enjoy this for sure!

When
I get home I will rehearse my band for my shows in Sept and then be
getting ready for the departure for TSO-land...the show this year will
be even larger than last year...yes folks, it may not seem possible,
but Paul will make sure of this!

My thoughts and prayers go out
to everyone in the Gulf Coast and with family and friends there. I know
things have just begun to settle down from Katrina, I hope this is not
as bad for New Orleans.

Things are great on the "House of
Insanity" front. CD will be finished and mastered by my deadline of Oct
1st to insure an October release on iTunes. I know many of you still do
not do the digital thing. I am planning a limited run of CD's and
possibly vinyl for the months of Nov/..he official street date is Feb.
9th, but as I have said I promised to get this thing out in 2008 and I
want to make sure the fans who really want can get it!

Just a note from Oliva per a recent press release:

Regarding recent Savatage rumors: Oliva " There has been some news floating around about a Savatage website update and other things Sava related. I just wanted to clarify that this news is strictly limited to the re-release of the
entire Savatage catalog as well as merchandise from prior tours and records that will be made available soon.

But just to be 100% clear...there are no plans for any Savatage recordings or shows! JOP is currently hard at work in pre-production for our 4th release as well as Euro-Festival and South American tours in 2009."

I am hoping to get more than album re-releases. Some old band t-shirts like DENIMANDLEATHER said.

I'd buy an old school shirt.


And While JOP is awesome, I'd like it even better if Chris Caffrey and Johnny Lee Middleton and Jeff Plate were on board.

Being the huge Savatage fan I am, I only have a bootleg shirt of Power Of The Night (has a band photo from Edge Of Thorns on the back). This is my big opportunity to get some much wanted merchandise (I have been waiting for a decade for this).
