White Zombie

I freakin' love White Zombie. But I bet I'm the only one, huh? And I used to think the bass player (a chick) was hot, in a weird Courtney Love sort of way.

I liked them. Don't listen to them much anymore though.

I like White Zombie/Rob Zombie "Astro Creep" is a classic that used to get a lot of spins back in the day, but I am afaird Rob Zombie's high profile movie career is going to eclipse is music career.

If you pay attention here, and have actual conversations, you'll learn that most of us have very broad tastes.

Anyway, I love White Zombie/Rob Zombie. They're favorites of mine.

White Zombie are class. Bit off my normal range of music, but you can't deny tracks like "Super Charger Heaven". Find Rob Zombie's 'solo' stuff a bit hit and miss, though.

I still give "AstroCreep 2000" a spin every now and again. I too had a crush on Sean Yseult (sp?) back in the day... she was pretty hot in a creepy Morticia Addams kinda way.

I like White Zombie. I thought they (or moreso Rob) had a pretty inventive look and sound, mixed with a great sense of humor. I've never saw them live, but I have seen Rob as a solo act 3 times now and it's a great show.

A lot of people looked at Marilyn Manson as the new Alice Cooper and it's easy to make those comparisons (female name, shocking stage persona, etc.) but I look at someone like Rob Zombie and say "Yes, he gets it". Rob Zombie isn't trying to shock people or spread a message of love or hate. He's trying to entertain. And that's all Alice Cooper wanted to do. Entertain people. He took the movie & tv images that he grew up with and set them to music. Rob does the same thing. Sure the music might be different, but the imagery is the same when you think about it. Big scary movie monsters, alien robots, sexy (but not slutty, if that makes sense) women.
